Towns near Philly

I don't know if anyone took up Mrs. Fields on her Philly game late June, but we're going and I'm looking for a place to stay for two nights. Last time we went we stayed downtown at the big Marriott but for some reason, probably because it's around 4th of July, they're getting $400 a night. Not gonna happen. Marriott has tons of brands and a search on their site pops up with lots of hotels and motels they claim are 15-20 miles from Philly. Can anyone recommend a good town north of Philly within 15-20 miles of the ball- park and easy to go also do stuff in the city as well? I'm Philly challenged.

Try the King of Prussia/Valley Forge area.

Womanton, Del. is 35 mins from the park. I recommend the Hotel duPont. ($$$$)

We had a hell of a time trying to find something close by as well. We wound up getting the Extended Stay America - Philly Airport for $49 (via Hotwire) but everything in the Cherry Hill area was booked up. Airport hotels were booked up, things in downtown too much $$. (Going Saturday and Sunday).

I was going to suggest Cherry Hill as well. I don't have specific accommodation recommendations, but when I had to spend a weekend in Philly a few years ago I stayed at a motel in Cherry Hill.
