Have you ever...

...Purchaed clothing (other than shoes) at a store and walked out wearing it? I was always taught to WASH clothing before wearing it so my answer is no. Apparently, our good friend Stray-Rod does things differently than me.

From the snooze, a recap of Stray-Ros' shopping trip in Chicago with his wife:

...They moved on to Barney's New York, where Alex Rodriguez went inside and bought a $110 black T-shirt emblazoned with an image of rapper Biggie (Notorious B.I.G.) Smalls and a $78 light-blue Juicy Couture T-shirt. He came out wearing the light blue shirt, and they continued on to Hugo's Frog Bar restaurant.

I thought Juicy Couture made women's stuff.

It was one of those T-shirts that was supposed to look "distressed" anbd it had fruity writing all over it. I believe he wore the new shirt out in a failed attempt to lose the shooters following him and his wife and baby all around town.

I bought a new pair of sandals in Miami and wore them out, threw the old ones in the garbage can at the store.

I hope he's not waiting for Biggies new album to come out.

I'm more distressed that the A-Rod t-shirt story is being reported here than I am that is was reported in the newspaper.

Things I learned today:

- Biggie Smalls and Notorious B.I.G. were the same person.

I'm just that much more up to date on my hip hop knowledge now.

I've never washed any new clothing before wearing it.

The wash-before-you-wear rule in the Ted household was a by-product of my dumbass brother wearing his new not-yet-washed Levis blue jeans and blue cotton pullover sweatshirt then getting rained on later in the day. The dork came home looking like a smurf.

One thing I KNOW I've never done, and never WILL do, unless inflation goes crazy, is pay $110 for a T-shirt.

I may have paid as much as $20, which is also too much, but never more than that.

That's it! There was a little musical piece of a song going through my head for the past month or so and I couldn't get it to go far enough to remember what it was, but it was Mo Money, Mo Problems!

CPF to the rescue again!

Now I know a little bit more about Biggie Smalls.

I've a funny story about guys on bus in London that involves Biggie Smalls. Buy me a beer sometime and I might tell it.
