Nice have our ace on the mound for the rubber game, but can the offense WAKE THE HELL UP?

Johnny Dickshot

Thais Baker fellow has respectable K numbers, which should scare us a little. He also gives up a HR every 3 innings so far this year, so that's good news.

I predict we win 96-3.

Beltran remembers what an RBI looks like, so that's good news.

Beltran falls asleep and holds first on a two-out fly to left. That's so typical of the way we've been playing that I wanna, I just wanna... oh, look, Cheez-Its.

Shawnie left something on the DL.

Mets take a 2 - 1 lead on a David UpWright single..

Frazzak.

Endy would've had it.

You know, this thread sucks.

I had a call from my mom, had a nice long chat, and expected better than this by the time I get back.

Big game here.

Ollie's walks finally jump up to bite him.

I blame the spotty performance of the Mets and the server. My prediction of a final score still can happen if we score 93 runs and hold on tight.

Perez looks pissed. Good, he should be.

This whole team is playing like a pile of dog shit and this "we just gotta play through it" crap is getting very old. They need to throw some shit and then go out and fight a lot harder.

Kid Carsey
Jun 20 2007 06:59 PM

I don't post a lot in these things because I figure no one wants to read my
play by play if I feel compelled to do it.

As for the server, I've been here the whole game both signed in and not and
haven't hit one speed bump at all. Actually, it's been quite peppy up here.

Schoeneweis in to mop up Smith's mess after he couldn't mop up Perez's mess.

This inning has game breaker written all over it.

Johnny Dickshot
Jun 20 2007 07:07 PM

Wow, we kinda suck.

Jun 20 2007 07:07 PM

Schoenweis comes in and does his thing: a two run double for Mauer. Twinkies, 6-2.

I enjoy your pbp, KC.

Off day tomorrow, I think every player should report to the clubhouse at 11:30 am
for another head-shaving.

TransMonk
Jun 20 2007 07:21 PM

I think it's time for a leader to step up and bitch this team out...and then take everyone out on the town to get shit-faced drunk.

Isn't that what off days during losing streaks are for?

Kid Carsey
Jun 20 2007 07:26 PM

Ok, no clubhouse ... shaved heads at the titty bar tonight at 3:00 am NOW!!!

Jun 20 2007 07:28 PM

Now you're talkin'.

I've been thinking what this team needs is Ray Knight: A bloodthirsty, bareknuckled, fuck-you kind of guy.

I think we need a rain out...

I thought LoDuca could be that guy,I dunno but this teams needs a shot of something, this team needs to wake the fuck up and get their fingers out of their arses.

I'm getting cranky, the Mercedes commercial was cute the first thousand
freaking times they showed it this month ... someone stuff the little mil-
lionaire to be in the trunk and go abandon it in the Bronx.

Unless he's going to remind Delgado to hit (and either get Green hot again or heal Alou's owie), then I don't think it'd make a damn bit of difference.

For the first time we've been seeing fairly steadily poor work by the staff and bullpen, too.

Kid Carsey

Feliciano makes quick work of the Twinks in the eighth.

Hey it's something.

Six outs to salvage the series.

I think Gary Cohen should start drinking like Bob Eucker in Major League. Thats what this stadium feels like..A Morgue...

Elster88
Jun 20 2007 07:50 PM

Delgado's really a black hole in the middle of that lineup.

A frozen rope by Valentin caught by Morneau to end the inning.

My feeling is that this team doens't have a comeback in them right now...

Nathan has the highest save percentage since 2004. Wagner is fourth. I hate my life.

I think Hojo was right.

Kid Carsey
Jun 20 2007 08:10 PM

Sixth series of suckitude and they'll likely not lose any ground tonight
in the standings. Strange month.

I thought Hojo was going to have at it with the ump, maybe try and spark the team...am I that desperate?

Desperate or not, I was thinking the exact same thing.

I hope someone is yelling in the clubhouse right now.

Elster88
Jun 20 2007 08:31 PM

Would yelling make Delgado hit again? Would it help Glavine regain his form prior to his last few starts? Would it make Heilman regain his form from early last year? Would it get Alou to stop being such a pussy?

These guys seem like they already give a shit, without the need for Pinella-type hystrionics.

metirish
Jun 20 2007 08:35 PM

Elster,I think we all know that Hojo screaming at the ump will not make hitters hit better or pitchers pitch better, but you know maybe seeing the former Met getting into it might wake some fuckers up...

We are all doing our bit, join in and stop acting like Andy Rooney...:)

Crowd actually didn't suck tonight, they just didn't have much to cheer about.

Delgado got heavily booed for the first time though. Schoenweis, too -- although that was really more Joe Smith's fault.

Strange use of relievers this game.

The "Vote for LoDuca" thing was completely absent tonight. Strange. I voted like 75 times for him anyway (bored, so I filled out ballots for much of the game).

You're a good dude irish, but this makes no sense at all.
