I doubt there are any teams in the whole of MLB playing worse than the Mets right now.

Take a look at the White Sox. Many of the same problems.

Rangers have their rookie manager babbling out of both sides of his mouth at a press gathering.

Baltimore is falling apart, on the brink of getting swept at home by the Nationals. And Hope's name there is Steve Trachsel.

OK,so we've not hit rock bottom ,that's good, that speaking what's on his mind sure isn't doing much for Ron Washington.

The Mets are 2-10 in June.

In half of those twelve games, they have scored two runs or less. They have scored three runs or less in 8 games.

The Mets have led in each of their last 8 losses.

Opponents are also scoring an average of 5.41 runs per game in that same stretch.

Nope, that comes around 11:45 pm Sunday night as Morgan is
reading the team it's last rites.

June's over and could have been much worse considering the Mets dropped 14 of their first 18 games before battling back to win 8 of 9 to finish 12-15 for the month.

They started the month with a 4.5 game lead on the Braves and ended up only losing a half a game in the standings and maintaining a five game lead in the loss column.

At any rate, I'm glad to see the calendar page flip.
