What does a backwards K mean?

I always noticed that when fans hung those K signs up in the stands that sometimes they were backwards and I thought they were just being careless, but on the Yankees station just now they showed Delgado's batting for the night (3 K's up til then) and they showed one of them backwards.

Does it mean something?

Struck out looking vs. swinging

It's Russian for Strike-out

Thanks, I thought that was probably what it meant.

Isn't it funny that I never saw that before in an "official" setting.

I think the real question is, does any of Clemens' brood have a name starting with a backwards K? Perhaps an illegitimate child?

No. The illegitimate ones should be spelled with a forward K, because those are the ones conceived while swinging.
