Santana may be involved in a more entertaining event today. Bert Blyleven, a former Twins pitcher who is now a broadcaster, told Santana before the game that if he pitched a complete-game shutout, Blyleven would allow his head to be shaved.

Who was the ex-player/announcer for Pittsburgh (was it Jim Rooker?) who said, during a game where the Pirates had a huge lead in Philly, that if they were to blow this game he'd walk back to Pittsburgh.
Well, they did. And, while he didn't walk back that night, he did later organize a walk-a-thon connected to a charity and eventually made the cross-Pennsylvania trek on foot.
