Now there was a drinkin' buddy. RIP Rod Beck. 38? Jeez.

I think of him as more of a fishing buddy.

By all accounts a great person - R.I.P.

While I'm sure he was many fine things, if you read between the lines of the memorials, there are a lot of mixed messages.

I'm also kind of troubled by this not being the lead story on all mlb.com pages, as if they're afraid this is going to bite them.

I suppose,I am more or less going by what several former team mates said...course it's not like they would bad mouth him....

Chris Brown, Jose Uribe, Rod Beck -- those '80's-'90's Giants teams musta had some weird karma.

We ever find out exactly wny Chris Brown died in a fire at a house that was supposed to be vacant?

Same thing.

The whole living-in-an-RV-drinkin'-beers-with-fans-after-the-game thing in '03 was just bizarre, but really endearing.

Hurry up and get your Rod Beck baseball cards on eBay so you can cash in!

Sad news.
During his closing times, one of the best.

How about a moment of silence tonight for three-time Giant All-Star Rod Beck?
