Cell Phone/Music Player Help

While I was paying my Cingular bill today I noticed that I can upgrade to the Sony Ericsson W810i phone, apparently it's like a walkman and it gets great reviews.

Now I don't have a music player of any type and I kinda want one, this phone looks to cover it all for me,new phone and a good music player with FM radio to boot.

Here's the thing though, one it comes with a shitty128MB memory card, capable of storing 25 songs, what good is that.

With a two year contract extension and a mail in rebate my price for the phone as is would be $70.

Two things,I'm useless with the rebate thing,it's worth a $100,and to get a decent memory card they offer an upgrade to a 1GB for $60.

So with all that information wouldn't I be just better off getting an iPod and stick to the phone I have?

Mobile phone companies suck. Always with the 2-year extensions and rebates. I had to do the same recently when my phone ate it and ended up with this thing after re-upping for 2 years (but I didn't have to deal with a rebate this time).

I already have an mp3 player, but I added a 2GB miniSD card for $39 bucks (for pictures, music, and what-not) and think you could probably do better if you bought your own memory card without Cingular's help.

Get the iPod if you don't mind spending more and want gigs and gigs of mp3.

Get the phone if you need the camera/web combo stuff, and don't mind swapping out music more often.

Or if you're getting by with your current phone well enough, tell 'em to F off.

It looks like a nice enough phone, though.
