Tiger is one shot back and needs to birdie either 17 or 18 to force a playoff (or play them in 2-under to win outright).
Argentinian Angel Cabrera is sitting in the clubhouse with the lead watching the play on TV.

Tiger puts his drive on the short par-4 17th into a greenside bunker.

Tigger pars 17, meaning the best he can realistically hope for is a playoff with a birdie on 18

Tee-shot goes slightly off course into the shorter rough on the right side.

Approach shot on the green ... maybe 20 ft away for what looks like a tricky downhill putt.

I almost never watch golf, but have had this on for a good run or so. I was
curious to see how they played on this course since it got so much hailing
for it's difficulty and it's kinda fun seeing balls not do what they're suppose
to under more forgiving circumstances.

Dumb question, perhaps, but do they frame the way the whole thing pans
out that it becomes the Tiger Woods Show for the last hour or are there other
players still playing but not being covered?

I was rooting for that Argentinian dude, although I think he could keep the
ciggy smoking a little more discrete in this day in age.

I just turned it on for the last hour or so.
It frequently becomes 'The Tiger Show' co-starring a cast of faceless others. The networks know that the tourneys where he's in the hunt draw double & triple the ratings compared to those where he's either home or still playing but out of the running. But, in this case, the attention is warranted. He's the 800-pound gorilla in the room and it's not like Carbrera plus the 2 or 3 other late contenders got ignored ... at least not until each started dropping out of contention..

I've never smoked in my life but almost enjoyed seeing that just for the hell of it. Arnie and others of his day used to smoke on the course all the time (as the announcers were doing the same) and they'd leave their burning butts on the ground when they putted and then pick them back up after they finished the same way my dopey partners would.
Something about watching a chunky everyman-looking guy puffing away while he was beating all these fitness sculpted fashion plates appealed to me.

I've no idea if this is true but I have been conditioned to believe that Woods never wins on Sunday when he is not leading going into the final round....

Never in a Major.
He has done it in other tourneys
