Constant performance issues with ehost's mysql server have forced us to search out a new home.

This will take a few days to complete, so please be patient with us. I will not be around much during the day this week due to other obligations, but please be assured I will be going forward with this in the evenings and haven't lost interest in getting the situation remedied.

Thanks for your support and let's kick some Cardinal ass this week!

And, of course, as soon as getalife announces that, the forum speed is magically dialed up from Ramon Castro to Carlos Gomez.

WE'RE NOT FALLIN' FOR IT, YOU HEAR?!

It's perfectly fine here...

Well, we're not claiming that it's always bad, just that it's bad a lot more often than is tolerable.

We're hoping that a new hosting platform, and an updated version of the bulletin board software, will make things quite a bit more reliable around here.

If you guys want any custom graphic work/skins/headers/logos done for the new board, lemme know.
My work comes as cheap as you can get....FREE!*
:)

*only applies to graphics in relation to the New York Mets, Crane Pool Forum and associated CPF projects here and abroad all over the world wide innerweb.

What's better about this? Not being snarky -- just in case I need to start a board of my own.

a) my feeling was that ehost (the old host) didn't care about phpbb business.
It's a throw in with the account, the techs don't know much about it when you
call, and it almost got to the point where I think they'd be happy without run-
ning any phpbb accounts. I'd call them and wait twenty minutes to finally talk
to someone when the place was crawling and people from all over the country
are experiencing the same think and they'd tell me everything was fine on their
end and maybe it's my ISP.
b) the software version for this board is like seven versions newer - see above.
c) the new host is run by a small office and I've talked to and had email dis-
cussions with the same guy the last couple of weeks and he's nice to deal with.
I think he's an owner or partner, so he's gotta care.
d) we've only been here a few hours, but the screen change speeds alone are
worth the move my guess is to the majority of the pool.

So far, so good. Much faster when reading or posting.*
