IGT - 7/3 Mets @ Rockies
Frayed Knot Jul 03 2007 10:53 AM |
First of all, note the starting time: 8:05 EDT, or 6PM local time - an hour earlier than last night.

Nobody actually lives in Denver so I doubt that fireworks aactually bother them. They are mostly holed away in fake communities like Cherry Creek and Columbine, but they will probably enjoy the fireworks from their car windows as they drive home.

Moving this over here:

Gotay at 2B would leave room for Valentin to be the backup catcher which I think he is.
Gwreck Jul 03 2007 05:44 PM |
SNY is actually telling me that Matsui is playing tonight in Carroll's spot in the order, at 2B.

RedAss is serving his suspension?
Gwreck Jul 03 2007 06:17 PM |
That's what I suggested just a few posts earlier, but maybe not. Just a day off for LoDuca, as per SNY.

like i said in the other IGT, wheres the Mets' LF? you have an 8-man lineup.
Nymr83 Jul 03 2007 06:29 PM |
it's 4-2 Rockies in the 1st inning. geez.
seawolf17 Jul 03 2007 06:32 PM |
Probably because we don't have a left fielder in the lineup.
seawolf17 Jul 03 2007 06:32 PM |
Hey! I'm not Bobby Bonilla any more! Whew.

That's got to be right, though: I checked here, too, and that exactly what it said.

Who's the idiot who predicted that Vargas would throw a two-hit shutout tonight?
Centerfield Jul 03 2007 07:13 PM |
That's why you use Castro instead of Franco on Sunday.
Johnny Dickshot Jul 03 2007 07:34 PM |
This is what happens when you're not properly prepared for battle.

You were just taking the piss,right?.....
Benjamin Grimm Jul 03 2007 08:21 PM |
Yes, that's right! I was taking the piss!
Johnny Dickshot Jul 03 2007 08:22 PM |
Matsui is 5-5. Shove it, Met fans.
metirish Jul 03 2007 08:23 PM |
So against the Mets he's now 9 for14,I think.
iramets Jul 03 2007 08:23 PM |
You're mad at ME because he sucked donkey balls here?
cleonjones11 Jul 03 2007 08:30 PM |
Can we pleeez trade potential for proven..Milledge for Buehrle..Unless you these assclown pitchers now and then..
Frayed Knot Jul 03 2007 08:44 PM |
There's been too many "it's just one of those nights" games lately.
Johnny Dickshot Jul 03 2007 09:06 PM |
This was truly revolting, not just because they killed us but how.
Edgy DC Jul 03 2007 09:08 PM |

You've demanded this several times now, and refuse to support it when I call into question how this will help. I'll also ask what makes you suspect that Milledge will buy Buerle, especially when he's been hurt.
Nymr83 Jul 03 2007 09:21 PM |
1. I don't think the White Sox make that trade.
Elster88 Jul 03 2007 09:48 PM |
I think it might be time to end The Jason Vargas Experiment.

At least we don't need a second baseman or a solid #2 batter...(sc = high) Let me again extend my gratitude to any Met fan who made his games at Shea a living hell. Thanks a lot, assholes.

Why on earth would you think he could hit a lick here, or cover more ground at second base than your average earthworm? What, he didn't get a fair shot at playing second for the Mets? We should have let him screw up a few more games, and play atrociously even longer than we did?
Edgy DC Jul 04 2007 09:27 AM |
I'm certain his argument is with the booing patrons, not the loss-cutting management.
Centerfield Jul 04 2007 11:48 AM |
I'm sick of seeing the other team's starter go into the 8th with 75 pitches. This team needs to learn to make the pitchers work a little.
Elster88 Jul 04 2007 02:13 PM |
The Mets are 13th in the majors in walks. 7th in the NL.
