I didn't read the papers today, listen to any talk radio, do anything baseball
related online today ... so I don't know if this story got bigger than last night.

Willie made his point, Reyes doesn't have a leg to stand on ... hopefully that's
that and he'll bust it out of the box on EVERY opportunity.

metirish
Jul 07 2007 04:44 PM

No need to sit Reyes for the game tonight,if he didn't get the message after being told to sit then he's clueless,Reyes got the messgae from what I have read and hearing him after the game.

Glavine with a rare shut-em-down following a Met scoring inning.

So we're set now with the top of the order against a weakening Woody Williams.

Well, I wast old that he was warming up when I was otherwise told to do the dishes.

The rest of my sentence stands, I guess. Duh.

I'm going to guess 59-60-61 is the highest three-number sequence we've ever had, even if the three were never on the roster at once.

Johnny Dickshot
Jul 07 2007 07:44 PM

Walking Ausmus as the leadoff hitter was directly responsible for losing yesterday.

Edgy DC
Jul 07 2007 07:46 PM

I like Mike Lamb's game, but I don't go for batters squaring before a pitcher comes to his stop.

But he got the bunt down and the batter to second.

Edgy DC
Jul 07 2007 08:16 PM

So, Smith threw four pitches Thursday, 18 Tuesday, and 24 Monday. Coming up we have a righty, a pinch-hitter, a righty, and Mike Lamb, a lefty who hits lefties best historically.

Smith is next, right?

OE: All three available Astro pinch-hitters are lefthanded.
