See You in September (Gomez's hand)

Carlos Gomez goes on the DL with a broken 'Hammate' (sp?) bone in his hand. That, IIRC, is one of those pebble-sized bones that your hand has a bunch of, he apparently did it during a swing in his last AB Wed night. Surgery will happen tonight and he's out for 6-8 weeks. David Newhan has been recalled and is expected by game time.

yuck, Newhan. its really time for the Mets to go get an outfielder. I don't give a damn if green or alou has to sit out every game when alou finally decides to come back.

The Snooze says that Lastings got into it with the pitcher last night after he SO to end the game.....LilMiz played LF.

I hope he's not permanently damaged. Reyes and Gomez at the top of the order for ten years is a real turnon.
