Rangers sign Chris Dury and Scott fucking Gomez to seven year deals,I hate Gomez,not a bad player just a prick if ever there was one. I suppose this means the Rangers probably won't be signing Nylander. Even though I am a Rangers fan I hope the Islanders sign Smith.

I agree with you on Gomez...not a fan either. I am a Rangers fan, but I am also an Oilers fan and a huge Ryan Smyth fan. I was torn when Ryan Smyth became an Islander. I was happy that I would be able to see Ryan on a regular basis, but saddened that he was no longer an Oiler and joined a team I viewed as "the enemy". I want to see Ryan back with the Oilers. He was the heart and soul of that team My friend in Alberta still hasn't gotten over the trade.

Of course I spelled Smyth wrong,anyway Ryan has signed with Colorado ,five-year deal worth $31.25 million. The Dury deal is five years. New Jersey also lose Rafalski to detroit.

Looks like the Rangers are going for it while Jagr is still near the top of his game,but this is different than the stupidity of the nineties when they would sign old players to huge deals...Mike Keane etc,at least Dury and Gomez are in their prime,Prucha signed for two years

It has been a while.......I have always been fascinated by the different tone and tenor of the various forums (3) in which I participate. They each have their own persoinality.....one could almost write a book.
