Seriously, I like it how it is. It's easy on the eyes

I voted "Whatever" and I'm the one who selected the colors!

And speaking as the one who selected the colors, I'd like to make it clear that very little thought went into it. If anyone has other shades of orange that they think will look better, then please share them.

I voted for the last one. The contrast isn't freaking anyone else's eyes a bit?

What about a nice FFFFCC? Too Michael Jackson?

I'm diggin' the contrast of the blue and tans and mellons.

I don't see orange when I look at it. Orange is the color in php'bb' up top.

I'm OK with FFFCCC. It also provides more contrast from post to post.

You had me at melons.

maybe a nice road uni gray with some orange highlights might be easier on the retina. the new site looks great nonetheless. bravo!

I voted "whatever" but am leaning toward a little too skin-y too. Plus, it's difficult to make out on an index page those forums with new messages, at least at first glance.

Really dislike it. Voted option #3. Like the Mets-colors idea, but the peach and blue doesn't seem to work. Find myself missing the old color scheme.

We're quickly losing the Brooklyn vote.

Whatever happens I hope it's not going back to the all blue color.

This just in from SJR-- he wants pinstripes.

It wasn't so bad earlier at work, but on my laptop the "peach" is a wee bit bright for my sensitive eyes.

It's not you. I'm seeing three different colors in the orange/brown family, I think. I love you all, but these colors are crazy.

I'll try some shtuff out this weekend.

Yeah, I'm liking the softer oranges. My eyes don't feel like bleeding anymore. Thank you.

Edgy DC

I'd like to maybe alternate the softer orange (which should be behind my text in this post) and a neutral off-white or gray.

A Boy Named Seo
Jul 08 2007 11:49 AM

I think that would look even better. And still look Mettie. Just subtle.

metsmarathon
Jul 08 2007 11:59 AM

yeah, i think the neutral colors will help.

Greys would probably work best. One shade DDDDDD and one CCCCCC?

the DDDDDD and CCCCCC would look fine, not that i mind it as-is.

y'know, a black background is better for the environment...

(but doesn't look as good, usually)

very nice! these mellower colors can allow for a deeper, darker blue, if desired.
