I like Milledge 2nd -- throw him into the deep end of the pool

* Hubie, Hubie, Hubie ... Hubie will you be mine?

So are we going with this IGT?

Rockin' Doc
Jul 16 2007 07:44 PM

I hope the Mets jump on Wells like we did on getting an IGT started.

Where 2 IGTs are often a sign of impending disaster, I do believe 3 IGTs is good luck.

Not sure, but Lastings Milledge may have gotten us all excited about baseball again.

Easley unavailable, left team for the game due to some sort of family situation. As per SNY broadcast.

San Diego announcers arguing that Wells' suspension was draconian, because he threw the ball into the netting and it wasn't a threat to the audience.

I disagree.

Rockin' Doc
Jul 16 2007 08:52 PM

Sosa hits a two out double to deep left for the Mets first hit of the night.

Rockin' Doc
Jul 16 2007 08:54 PM

Reyes follows with an infield single to put runners on the corners for young Mr. Milledge.

Rockin' Doc
Jul 16 2007 08:57 PM

Aah, Milledge grounds out to third.

Still, 2-0 Padres going to the bottom of the third inning.

thats bullshit, what if he'd missed the net? would he get to claim its ok because he was aiming for it? the accuracy of your thrown equipment shouldn't make your suspension shorter.

Rockin' Doc
Jul 16 2007 09:13 PM

Wright and Delgado open the 4th with back to back singles. The comeback starts now baby.

Nymr83
Jul 16 2007 09:14 PM

LoDuca pretending to be an RBI-man, driving home Wright to make it 2-1.

Johnny Dickshot
Jul 16 2007 09:16 PM

I was sure LoDuca would DP there; turned out it was Green.

Jul 16 2007 09:16 PM

We should be slapping this fat drunken hasbeen from here to Kingdom Come!

Edgy DC
Jul 16 2007 09:16 PM

Green is pretending to be something else.

Rockin' Doc
Jul 16 2007 09:16 PM

Captain Redass drives in the Mets first run with another single.

C'mon Green. It's your turn to smack around the fat guys offerings.

Rockin' Doc
Jul 16 2007 09:18 PM

Hey Green, try smacking one where they ain't next time.

Elster88
Jul 16 2007 09:21 PM

nevermind

Rockin' Doc
Jul 16 2007 09:23 PM

Damn, Gameday is slow. I'm always 1-2 batters behind on the action.

Elster88
Jul 16 2007 09:30 PM

Milledge is not a number two hitter yet?

Elster88
Jul 16 2007 09:33 PM

Carlos has replaced Carlos as the official black hole in the lineup.

Johnny Dickshot
Jul 16 2007 09:33 PM

Dammit Beltran. If we can't count on you who?

Wright making me nervous on the bases.

Johnny Dickshot
Jul 16 2007 09:45 PM

Fuck, David.

Elster88
Jul 16 2007 09:45 PM

Goddammit

Elster88
Jul 16 2007 09:45 PM

So far I'm not impressed with Rickey coaching first. HoJo would've gotten Wright back.

Edgy DC
Jul 16 2007 09:47 PM

Strikes me that we're like 1-4 on Rickey's watch.

Certainly nothing conclusive, but it bears watching.

OlerudOwned

I think Marcus Giles should've tried to barehand Wright's blooper as an act of vengeance for his brother.

Are we done with Valentin yet?

Willets Point
Jul 16 2007 10:06 PM

Nope, he's just the type of guy the Mets like. Old, washed-up and ineffective. Expect more of him in the Mets fight for an eventual third place finish.

Elster88
Jul 16 2007 10:06 PM

This is disconcerting.

Edgy DC

Cincy's doing their part by beating the pants off of Atlanta tongiht.

We need an RBI double NOW!!!!

Edgy DC
Jul 16 2007 10:08 PM

1ish for 5ish at Club Rickey.

Johnny Dickshot
Jul 16 2007 10:12 PM

In that ATL-Cincy game, the Reds pitcher, called from the minors, got the win and batted 4-4.

Johnny Dickshot
Jul 16 2007 10:16 PM

This is gonna take some Mets Magic to get out from: Bases loaded, 0 out, B Giles up, 2-0 count...

Nymr83
Jul 16 2007 10:17 PM

1-6-2 to get the runner coming home... 1 out.

Nymr83
Jul 16 2007 10:18 PM

reyes bobbles a bit and throws to first for the sure out, 2 out, 1 in.

Edgy DC
Jul 16 2007 10:32 PM

OK, who's hanging in here for the ninth?

Willets Point
Jul 16 2007 10:36 PM

Mike Cameron would make a nice Met.

Mmm...wounds!

Edgy DC
Jul 16 2007 10:37 PM

He would, but I don't think they're going for it.

Willets Point
Jul 16 2007 10:42 PM

Didn't somebody say that the Padres can't hit?

Not being a real wound-licker, I just liked Cameron and then he hit a homer against the Mets in a game where they could really use some offense.

I just looked through the trade chain. I'll keep Ollie Perez thank you very much.
