Thank you, everyone! I love all the awesome cakes! Cooby, I am quite pleased that my birthday falls on a Friday this year. Yes, my birthday is today, KC and Edgy. I'm afraid my memory is shot..first sign of old age. I could have sworn the homerun Mazz hit during the 1979 All Star Game was on my birthday...but I see it was on the 17th. OOPS! I don't know why I always thought it was on the 13th, but then again, there have been quite a few ASG played on my birthday.

Thanks again! It's been a pretty quiet day. I had eggplant parm and birthday cake for dinner. Now I'm just watching this pathetic excuse of a game. Maybe I'll hang upside down later, MFS62! Funny story for those of you who don't know....I was headed to the MOFO picnic and had never taken the 7 train to Shea (before (actually, I had never been on the subway by myself before, either). I was so nervous I was going to take the wrong train. I wanted to ask someone if the train did indeed stop at Shea (I wasn't sure since some were express) but was kind of afraid to stop and ask anyone. Finally, I spotted someone who looked very friendly to me so I approached him and he assured me it was the right train. I showed up at the picnic and there was the kind stranger...who turned out to be Willets!
