I have noticed on a number of occasions that when I log in, I immediately have to log in again. I know it took the first time, because my name is there

Actually, this board logs me out quite a bit more than the old board, which also used to log me out from time to time. I am a Mod at a board that also uses phpbb software and people are always complaining that they can't stay logged in. I think it's an issue with phpbb since I don't seem to have that problem with any of the other boards I visit.

Yeah, I agree. Two things I can say is that (1) I'm checking the configurations to see if there's anything at our end that's bouncing you, and (2) makes sure you check the "Keep Me Logged In" toggle box when you log in (unless you're Astro Annie and have household members who will make scandalous posts from your account). We have more log-in configuration settings than at the old board.

I have had no problems staying logged on since the move. I recently went into work one morning to find that I was still logged on to the CPF from the day before. Apparently I was pulled away from my desk during work and had forgotten to log out. The site was still logged in and running fine the next morning.
