I'm really looking forward to FOX cutting out of the Mets game to show us Bonds at-bats.
A Boy Named Seo Jul 21 2007 01:55 PM |
Jose Reyes passed himself, huh. That almost made her crappy joke funny, pun intended.
bmfc1 Jul 21 2007 01:59 PM |
Hey Mr. XFL, it's go-TIE, not go-TAY.
Frayed Knot Jul 21 2007 01:59 PM |
Doesn't look like Joe Buck is doing baseball this year.
bmfc1 Jul 21 2007 02:06 PM |
FK: Buck seems to be allowed to pick his own schedule. Given that this is a "Game of the Week", and he's the lead announcer, you'd think he'd show up every once in awhile. Perhaps the Bonds chase and a meeting between NY and LA isn't big enough for him and he's waiting for the next Yankees game. Meanwhile, as you suggested, you know he'll be there for every week of the NFL season including all the exhibition games.

its alot of work, it might take 2 weeks alone to learn to spell Tuiasosopa, and then theres all the studying you need to do to be able to competently address Michael Vick's legal situation. i HATE cutting to Bonds' at-bats.
A Boy Named Seo Jul 21 2007 02:10 PM |
Nice. McCarver gives an almost apologetic disclaimer before he recites statistics illustrating that lead-off walks are bad.
bmfc1 Jul 21 2007 02:10 PM |
McCarver just said "no-nos." Outta site!
OlerudOwned Jul 21 2007 02:10 PM |
Nice baserunning David.
DocTee Jul 21 2007 02:14 PM |
Was looking forward to seeing the Mets today, but here in the Bay Area Fox is showing Giants-Brewers. ugh.
Frayed Knot Jul 21 2007 02:16 PM |
Maybe they'll cut in for Marlon Anderson's ABs
Zvon Jul 21 2007 02:17 PM |
Milledge's line single to right makes it 2-0 Mets :)
iramets Jul 21 2007 02:18 PM |
Two runs driven in by Castro and Milledge, 2-0 middle 2nd.
A Boy Named Seo Jul 21 2007 02:22 PM |
Sosa's living dangerously.
OlerudOwned Jul 21 2007 02:24 PM |
Tim McCarver just started a sentence with "I have never been as wrong about...".
Johnny Dickshot Jul 21 2007 02:24 PM |
I used to buy USDA Choice now I buy USDA Prime. It's Betemit.
OlerudOwned Jul 21 2007 02:25 PM |
But does it grow on Dmitri?
Rockin' Doc Jul 21 2007 02:26 PM |
hey, you know, if Betemit could only erase his April and May numbers for the season, he could have been an All Star. At least that's what the idiot announcing with McCarver said.
Nymr83 Jul 21 2007 02:30 PM |
warning: top of the lineup coming up for the Giants, please be alert for unwarranted intteruptions of the Met game during this inning.
iramets Jul 21 2007 02:32 PM |
Well, he did add "woulda, shoulda, coulda." Is Rickey's middle name really "Nelson"?
Nymr83 Jul 21 2007 02:33 PM |
fucking idiots, he was playing CARDS during the playoff game not dominoes!
bmfc1 Jul 21 2007 02:34 PM |
Mr. XFL is trying to show his knowledge of the Mets but he's trying too hard by trotting out stories from years ago.
Johnny Dickshot Jul 21 2007 02:37 PM |
He's some kind of angel if you know what I mean.
Nymr83 Jul 21 2007 02:38 PM |
Wright goes deep, 4-0 Mets
Zvon Jul 21 2007 02:38 PM |
Frayed Knot Jul 21 2007 02:38 PM |
Who is Mr. XFL?
Rockin' Doc Jul 21 2007 02:38 PM |
Johnny Dickshot Jul 21 2007 02:39 PM |
Can't remember the last time the meat of the Met order started and cashed in their own 2-out/none-on rally.
Nymr83 Jul 21 2007 02:41 PM |
very lame we're cutting to Bonds mid-inning
bmfc1 Jul 21 2007 02:42 PM Edited 1 time(s), most recently on Jul 21 2007 02:43 PM |
When the Dick Ebersol/Vince McMahon football league was on NBC, the lead announcer was Matt Vasgersian. He's not bad but he's trying too hard today.
OlerudOwned Jul 21 2007 02:42 PM |
We don't even get a little postage stamp box with the Mets game? Seriously?
Rockin' Doc Jul 21 2007 02:43 PM |
The score is 1-0 San Francisco, but they're much less concerned with that than they are Bonds.
Nymr83 Jul 21 2007 02:43 PM |
Bonds bounces back to the mound...gimme the Mets back assholes
Nymr83 Jul 21 2007 02:43 PM |
we missed a brad penny double
bmfc1 Jul 21 2007 02:44 PM |
A request for the KABOOM! providers: can we please have a Harry Potter related KABOOM for the next homer?
Johnny Dickshot Jul 21 2007 02:44 PM |
It shouldn't count then
Frayed Knot Jul 21 2007 02:46 PM |
That means that they couldn't find any actual baseball announcers to work a baseball game.
OlerudOwned Jul 21 2007 02:47 PM |
I like the announcer commenting on the bravery of tiny insignificant little man Dave Bush going after the mighty Barry Lamar Bonds, daring to pitch to him with the bases empty and nobody out.
Rockin' Doc Jul 21 2007 02:51 PM |
bmfc1 - "A request for the KABOOM! providers: can we please have a Harry Potter related KABOOM for the next homer?"
bmfc1 Jul 21 2007 02:54 PM |
FK: according to the website I just found, Vasgersian is on the Padres TV team. But you're right: he's not a regular FOX baseball guy. They needed a backup and he's on the payroll but why not have Kenny Albert do a game that's being shown in NY?
Johnny Dickshot Jul 21 2007 03:06 PM |
Fuckedy
Rockin' Doc Jul 21 2007 03:07 PM |
That's not the Kaboom I was hoping to see.
Nymr83 Jul 21 2007 03:07 PM |
how bout someone smacking potter's head like a baseball?
Zvon Jul 21 2007 03:09 PM |
Ugh. Kemp.
Rockin' Doc Jul 21 2007 03:11 PM |
The Dodgers are pummeling Sosa at will.
OlerudOwned Jul 21 2007 03:15 PM |
Compounding the fact that this game just took a turn of the sucky, these announcers are having what appears to be a contest of stupid statement oneupsmanship.
Frayed Knot Jul 21 2007 03:21 PM |
The daily Reyes pop-up makes its appearance.
DocTee Jul 21 2007 03:21 PM |

Kenny's doing the Bonds game (I mean Giants game)
Johnny Dickshot Jul 21 2007 03:55 PM |
This is Gotay, I'm afraid.
Zvon Jul 21 2007 03:59 PM |
I never forsaw a day when seeing Bonds would put me out of my misery.
Zvon Jul 21 2007 04:11 PM |
Good riddence Penny.
iramets Jul 21 2007 04:14 PM |
How the hell did this game get so out of control?. Wright hit a 2-run HR, I went out for bike ride, and now it's 8-4? WTF?
Johnny Dickshot Jul 21 2007 04:16 PM |
So-so gave a lot of hard hits, then a 3-run homer.
cleonjones11 Jul 21 2007 04:20 PM |
LoDuca DP...game over.off to racetrack

Edgy DC Jul 21 2007 04:35 PM |
Wake Casey. We're back in this one.
Edgy DC Jul 21 2007 04:51 PM |
OK, we've got Castro-Anderson-Milledge-Mota in the ninth, with Alomar, Green, and Hernandez on the bench. I guess you let everybody bat until you get to Mota, when you put Green in there, but you might want to send Sandy Jr. up there if they go lefty-lefty against Anderson.
Edgy DC Jul 21 2007 04:52 PM |
Which they don't.
Johnny Dickshot Jul 21 2007 04:53 PM |
BiFL
Edgy DC Jul 21 2007 04:53 PM |
Two quick outs.
Rockin' Doc Jul 21 2007 04:53 PM |
Milledge is our last hope.
Edgy DC Jul 21 2007 04:54 PM |
Hope dies on a strikeout.
Rockin' Doc Jul 21 2007 04:54 PM |
All hope is dead!!
Zvon Jul 21 2007 04:57 PM |
Gah.
Frayed Knot Jul 21 2007 05:18 PM |
Milledge got screwed on strike 2 ... but it's not like that was a game changing call.
Elster88 Jul 21 2007 06:14 PM |

Buck is a Cardinals fan?
Elster88 Jul 21 2007 06:15 PM |

I don't get it.

bmfc1 Jul 21 2007 08:20 PM |
Zvon--thank you for the Harry Potter KABOOM! I missed the last half of the game so I couldn't thank you earlier.
