Them:
McLouth cf
Sanchez 2b
LaRoche
Bay lf
Nady rf
Doumit c
Castillo 3b
Wilson ss
Gorzelanny p

Us:
Reyes ss
Milledge lf
Beltran cf
Wright 3b
Delgado 1b
Lo Duca c
Easley 2b
Green rf
Glavine p

Is this Green's debut as a #8 hitter?

Not a bad (or surprising) lineup considering that we're facing a pretty good lefty tonight...Gives Easley some at bats against a guy that Gotay might not have had the greatest luck against...Personally, I would have batted Easley 6th since IMO, he would be more of a threat in protecting Delgado than LoDuca has been lately...I still would like to see Shrek getting more at bats and sLowDuca getting less, but that doesn't appear to be Willie's desire...

Changed:

Reyes ss
Milledge cf
Wright 3b
Delgado 1b
Lo Duca c
Anderson lf
Easley 2b
Green rf
Glavine p

Beltran pulled an abdominal muscle in the cages. Milledge to center. No word on severity of the injury. Scoop by Ed Coleman.

It seems rather dangerous to be an outfielder for the Mets this season.

Time for Glavine to hit McLouth in the mouth,
treat Sanchez like he's dirty,
give LaRoche la rope,
keep Jason at Bay,
make Nady look like a lady,
hand Doumit a donut,
wave to Castillo that we'll see ya,
and tell Jackie Wilson that we're in heaven when you suck

Tonight's game will definitely be won by a team starting a lefty named Tom G.

OK, admit it, how many of you had already written 'GiDP' into your scorecards?

Bases loaded with 1 out...former catcher on first; sLowDuca catcher and a GIDP magnet at bat...I hope I'm wrong, but I hate seeing Paulie batting 5th...

On edit, thank you for proving me wrong Paulie...now keep proving me wrong, damn it...

Are the Met bats waking up?

Damn just get that black hole out of the 3 spot and we're a sharp hitting team.

SC = 95%

LoDuca's is.
That's like 6 hits for him in the last 3 days.
I think he had 6 in the previous month (OK, so I exaggerate)

Jim Tracy thrown out of the game arguing. The replay (according to the radio guys) shows the ball was caught, not trapped as the umpire ruled, so i guess the Mets should have been doubled off.

Quick, someone say something derogative about LoDuca's hitting. It seems to spur him on.

See, we tried to be nice and he grounds out quietly to third.

Come on Milledge. We need to get Green home from third.

Sweet...Mets win by doubling up the Bucs again.

Win #299 for Glavine...I was thinking about skipping the games in the series at Milwaukee this year, but I'll be in the stands at Miller Park on Tuesday as Glavine goes for 300.

nice win, 299 for Glavine who next pitches Tuesday in Milwaukee and then in Chicago. I kinda hope he does it on the road to get it over with.

I'm impressed he held a 6-run lead this time. Good job Tommy.

Well, he's a fighter who can be counted on to hold the line in tight situations like one's own team being up 6 runs. That's why they pay him the big bucks.

It's hard to piss me off as much as I was pissed at Glavine last start. I mean, I let the Mets ruin my nights as much as the next guy, maybe more, but last Thursday was a special kind of pain.
