So who's read it?

Thoughts? Reactions?

I haven't seen the movies, but whoever they cast as Tonks better be smoking fucking hot.

Natalia Tena plays Tonks: http://nataliatena.net/

Reading the books, I always imagined Tonks looking like Ellen Degeneres.

The book was pretty good by the way. Harry, Hermione, & Ron have a challenging quest but it doesn't stretch credibility too much. I liked how characters and places from earlier in the series are weaved in and out of the story. Two chapters: the one with Snape's memories and the one called King's Cross were overwritten and err on the side of just explaining too much. Otherwise a satisfying ending imho.

anyone looking for a good laugh go on youtube and search for "harry potter spoiler" theres people who drove by the book stores the night it went on sale to yell out spoilers to all the people waiting on line, really funny.

I don't get why anyone would want to do that. Nor do I get whoever it was that photographed the book and put it on line. A tedious and stupid thing to do. Let people enjoy themselves, don't be an ass.

I agree. I don't care about Harry Potter, but I don't see any reason to spoil it for those who do.

People who shout spoilers are thugs.

I totally agree,I've never read the books or watched the movies but I know how this book ended because of people posting about it.....I'd hate to have been a person waiting for an online order to be filled and having to wait for the book knowing that there were people posting spoilers.

The book wrapped up the story in a satisfying way, but the epilogue was unnecessary...

That picture of Tonks doesn't do her justice - I saw Order of the Phoenix for the second time last night with my daughter, and Tonks is just adorable (especially in Imax)...

I think the epilogue is there so JK doesn't have to answer questions for the rest of her life as to whether she's going to write more books. She tells you how everything turns out. Does she give away too much? I don't know. Ultimately, it's a YA series, so it's satisfying to have some conclusions.

What I want is for her to release a series of textbooks, like the two they did for charity a few years back (Quidditch and Fantastic Beasts). I want to read Hogwarts, A History, and The History of Magic, and a the HBP's Potions textbook. Those would be a lot of fun.

I think Rowling really wants to write something else, but I suppose if she loses all her money gambling or something you'll get to see those books.

She was quoted in a recent interview as saying that her next project is to put out a Harry Potter encyclopedia, so everything is listed in one place.

But she didn't answer all of the questions - sure, we found out who ended up married to whom, and what their kids names were, yyybbb, but what are they doing?

Is Harry an Auror? Is Draco using his powers in a dark way? None of these questions were answered.
