Logged out, can't reply, generally dissed and pissed

Since the great migration, I've getting logged out about twice a day, and when I try to reply (both by hitting the 'quote' button and the 'post reply' button) , usually what happens is I find myself back on the Forum page, causing multiple WTF? moments.

So, WTF?

We hard-coded some glitches in for our "favorite" posters in hopes that they'd feel
all dissed and pissed. This mysql is just fuckin' amazin' in that regard.

I have had no problems since moving to our latest home. I know others have complained of getting logged out since the move, but I have never experienced any problems.

No, seriously. You don't want to make me feel even more paranoid and martyrly than usual. Other people have gottta be going through the same thing as I am, I would imagine, no?

I dunno what to tell ya.

Does it happen more at certain times than others? Looking at the ip address
trails you leave you primarily post from a Road Runner account and while log-
ged onto your employer's network. When you're logged on at work are you
doing so remotely or from your office?

I guess I'd also ask what browser you're using and is it completely up to date?

I log out at home, at work, on the road...

I post from home on the roadrunner, and from work at the work IPs.

I use IE both places.

If ya have time and want to experiment, do this for me (from home) ...

In Windows, hit START, ALL PROGRAMS, ACCESSORIES, and
COMMAND PROMPT.

Type in: tracert cranepoolforum.net and hit ENTER

Email me the results. You can either just type out the info (I only need the
last column and only the numbers, ie 123.456.789.123) or you can just send
me a screen shot by hitting CTRL and PRINT SCREEN and pasting that
into MS Paint and then save it and attach it to the email.

If when running that command you get a line or two of "Request timed out"
just let it go and run it's course. Eventually the last line should get you to
something like "qwk.net" and it will say "trace complete." You may need
to try it more than once if it craps out.

This part is giving me trouble--when I hit CTRL and PRNT SCRN (simultaneously?) nothing much happens, and I can't find another way to copy the screen, other than by hand. When you say you need the last column's numbers, do you mean for the final entry, or for all the right-hand side's entries? There are seventeen entries, and the final one is 208.71.138.130.

I of course have no idea what you're trying to do, or what any of this means, so I'm following your instructions literally and blindly. If you like, you can tell me to hold my laptop over my head and squawk like a chicken, and I'll do that.

Sounds like you did it right, 208.71.138.130 is the ip address of the host. When you hit
CTRL PRINT SCREEN it copys the screen to the windows clipboard. Open up MS PAINT
which is buried somewhere in the free programs that come with windows and hit hit EDIT
up top and then paste and the image shows up. Just save it and send it.

For some reason, I've been able to reply the last few days without any of this happening again.

I've also been fighting with Frayed Knot, Kid Carsey, Yancy Street Gang and several other worthies, with unusual vituperation and bitterness, so maybe that helped out somehow. Anyway, it does seem to be working, so I'll just continue engaging in belligerant arguments and see if that continues to work.

Unless there are forces at play that are beyond my realm of understanding,
I can assure you that this recent fall back into your anti-social, friendship
boundary testing, and admin bashing behavior (general assclownishness, if
you will) has nothing to do with your ability to stay logged in.

I was kidding, KC. I know it's not always easy to tell. Try this rubric: when I write something so silly, so paranoid, so loopy that you're sure I must be joking around, I'm probably not serious.

Oh, wait, that won't work, either, will it?

Anyway, thanks if you adjusted anything, and thanks for tolerating my provocative postings even if you didn't.

When I try to post using AOL i get a message saying:
Illegal session. Please resubmit your form.

When I use IE (which has been very flaky lately, I am able to post.

You must be one of the fifty or so people who still use AOL.

AOL = betamax/8tracks

It slowly takes over your computer, I've seen it many times at work. Evil.
Internet Explorer ain't much better if you're not careful, and AOL uses the
evil MS IE shell anyways.

We're stuck with Windows in most cases, but do yourself a favor and use
free internet programs that don't have a seat in in the Microsoft kingdom ...
