Phillip Humber should be among the wounded there, as he's on the 40 by virtue of his contract, but I don't know where my photo of him is.

Why is a Mexican League refugee like Urdaneta on the 40?

You know I have absolutly no idea who this fella is, Gerald Williams just looks happy to be on a roster.

I have no idea who Urdaneta is or where he came from.

Urdaneta, apparently, is one of the members of the Dumbo Squad, along with Keppel, Looper, Cairo and Woodward.

So, he probably blew here on a strong gust of wind.

They signed Urdaneta a few weeks ago out of the Mexican League. It was noted here at that time that he is a holder of one of the single worst career major league pitching lines ever:

0 IP, 5 H, 1 BB, 6 R, 6 ER, 6 BFP

Six batters, six baserunners, six runs. Ugly.

In fact, JD was the one who posted the news, so it's funny that he's completely forgotten poor Lido.

Now I remember. Y is he on the 40 I wonder... tho there's prolly an obvious explanation for that too that I already found out and since forgot

Jacobs is there twice.

Well, that's not right. We only need one of him.

Never mind.

Lino Urdaneta, mystery man, has been released.

I believe I saw Urdaneta's name on a list of Mets minor-leaguers who have had or are about to have Tommy John surgery, FWIW.

How many of these things do we have lingering around here anyhow?

You can retire this, t'anks. The 25 and the 40 will be covered by one thread.

If this was retired, then why did it pop up again on page 1?
Does that happen when someone reads it, whether they respond to it or not?

EDIT: oops, just noticed Edgy's last post was dated today.
Answered my own question.
