Sean Connery plays a gentleman thief going after a trainload of British gold, payday money for the British forces during the Crimean war. Lesely Ann Down and Donald Sutherland co-star.

Michael Crichton, still figuring out directing after stumbling through Westworld and Coma, takes a bawdy approach to Victorian England.

The 1903 version is much better. A classic Western filmed in New Jersey and only 12 minutes long. And then that bandit shoots at the audience. So scary!

I saw this in the theater when it was new and liked it, IIRC. That was a fucking long time ago.

One of the greatest lines in the history of film:

"Find me a dead cat."
