But, you know, I'm busy. I go off to work on some music, come back, see it's 1-0, bad guys, third inning's bottom, but no posts!

Bad.

Maine can't get through the third and leaves it 6 - sniffle.

Questionable call at first cost the Mets a run, Maine walking a lot of Cubbies
and even hit Mr. Bang Pow to plate the third run. A hit here a a hit there, hey
check pbp on espn if ya need details.

This IGT update brought to you by Spaten. A couple more in this heat and
I won't last through nine.

Serve me well, o friendly confines of Wrigley Field.

Serve us well this day.

I'm not sure, but I think we have drunk guy in the Cubs booth.

There's a storm in the skies and they're openly rooting for an official game to hurry up and happen. Looze.

Hey, Jose, no more popups.

pisses me off that if sele could get a bunt down, and move milldge over to second, castillo's blooper could've scored him. (at least, i don't think soriano's arm is that great, and milledges speed should've gotten him pretty far by the time soriano had the ball).

2 4 alou!

Yeah, well, one doesn't necessarilly follow the other, you know.

Alou gets his second homer. This Ron Santo guy is amazing. He's moaning and groaning, fatalistically convinced the Mets will come back.

Chris Chelios doing Harry Carey today.

Alright -- through seven the Mets are only down 6-2, hey, it's Wrigley. Cy
Lilly comes out to pitch the 8th although the FOXclowns have been Lou
droppin' that Wood will pitch today.

Meaty part of the lineup coming to the plate. Let's stop fartin' around fellas.

Big innings agin us suck, 'specially when there were only 2 hard-hit balls mixed in.

From what I've read, he's a hell of a nice guy, and has suffered from some serious medical conditions that he's overcome to still manage broadcasting.

Unfortunately, he's absolutely terrible as a broadcaster and should have been let go from that position long ago.

I can't believe that I seldom get to actually watch a Mets game and when I finally do, I get to see this fiasco. The Mets had one close call at first go against them in the bottom of the third, but ultimately, Maine was his own worst enemy that inning. Anytime you walk three batters and hit another in one inning you are just begging to get lit up by the opposition.
