Curiously, the Cardinals declined to identify what Spiezio needs to go to rehab for.

Also curious was that the article declined to mention all the problems the Cardinals have so far this year, including LaRussa's DWI arrest and John Hancock killing himself while driving drunk.

I think it a toxic reaction to the red dye in his "soul patch".

Maybe he's recovering from watching tapes of Ed Spezio try to play third base. My Jays fan pals in Tarana' gave him the nickname "E-5".

And his replacement, Rick Ankiel, homers in his debut. Incredible story.

The way the Cubs and Brews are going the fucking Cardinals might have a say in the division before it's all over.

In other news that I don;t want to start a thread about, the Phillies picked up Russel Branyan and the Dodgers picked up Sweeney from the Giants in the 1st LA-SF deal in 20 years.

Brewers Tony Graffanino out for season too - as if that team needs any more problems.
I guess that means they bring Richie Weeks back but he wasn't hitting at all when shipped out.

Trivia: which former Met was the principal in the last SF-LA trade? (1983)

I hope Amy Winehouse kicks Spiezio's ass.
