Stopped for lunch at The House of Blues, no one was playing.

No 4 whole fried chickens & a coke or a piece of dry white toast though.

This is my cousin

And just for the heck of it, here are The Blues Brothers in Studio 8H of 30 Rockerfeller Center on 11/18/1978 doing "Soul Man"

Neat car park

The car park is part of the lower level of the corn cob buildings in Marina City, on the Chicago River. Loved looking at those goofy things on the train every morning.

The blue sign on the side of that building just kills it.

Cool pics Steve.

1 bed, 1 bath, 800 SF apartment "with a view" in the corn cobs, about $250,000 a couple years back. Parking was extra, about $100 per month for residents. The new Trump Building is going up right near it and will be a mammoth in that part of town.

I remember that car park playing a prominent role in a scene in The Hunter

So I guess they really do play the blues in Chicago when the baseball season rolls around.

I wondered if that was Marina City; I couldn't see enough of it to be sure. Remember how you could see a shot of that on The Bob Newhart Show too?

Wasted away again in Wrigleyville...

Wrigley was crawling with Met fans all weekend, plus the Mets took two out of the three games, so this shot of the visitor's flag almost seems like the Mets took over Chicago!

A walk around the park

The Cubs have had this since 92

And a nice Standing Room view of the field from there

Kind of made me feel some anticipation for those pattio areas that will be at CitiField

When I was at Wrigley in '86 for a Mets -Cubs Series a college buddy got us our seats behind the dugout. He got the seats from his uncle who owned this McDonald's across the street from Wrigley.

Thanks for bringing back a great memory Steve.

Here's a pic from that trip lo those 21 years ago (I'm the one with the alcohol). Ryno didn't want us drinking on his lawn...

First thing I thought when I saw those two was, "You're the fucks that kept harassing Daniel-san."
