Yes, and it seems pretty obvious to everyone that, had Moises Alou been released, his replacements would not have accounted for the seven runs necessary to cover the difference. If you don't see that his performance was rare and exceptional, and the kind you that makes an overwhelming argument that a player should be retained, rather than paid not to play, I'm not sure what to tell you.
