4th inning and no IGT?

This insane forum has gone fucked itself, looks like.

Since I'm by myself, here's what's transpired: I hate this game as I have both starters on my 4th place fantasy team. My wife got me a Mets license plate holder for our anniversary but I can't get the dealer one off. Arnold Palmer is at the game... is he drinking his own drink? I got the new Raspberries live CD today--it's fantastic. The Pirates announcers are horrible.

If you have a Raspberries CD, life is worth living. What all's on it?

There are two versions of the reunion show. I got the basic one:

Milledege hustled out a double and scored on a doubnle by DiFelice. But Reyes and Castillo failed to get Castillo in and that pissed me off.

Your dealer should pay you for driving around advertising him.

Beltran hit the crap out of one to tie it at 2.

The Pirates prolly should have 5 or 6 runs already. El Duque is making his own trouble and only getting singe, not burned.

Excellent...

Gary Cohen (and Keith, somewhat) bitching about where the press box is at PNC is driving me nuts.

As a baseball *fan,* I think it's great that all the seats are lower down than the press box. Hell, that's how it *should* be.

Yeah. And Adam Rubin showed a photo from it and it looks like a great vantage point.

Wish Reyes would stop popping up.

Announcers should never complain about anything... they're being paid to watch the games.

Reyes' nickname is "Popsie" until further notice.

First and third for Beltran. Yes, I'll take a run-scoring out.

bmfc1
Aug 14 2007 06:55 PM

The Mets get hosed again by a lousy call. Even the Pirates announcers saw it.

Edgy DC
Aug 14 2007 06:56 PM

Jeez, Jack Wilson's career is a disaster these days.

And he's lucky. He not only didn't catch that ball, he was off the bag when it hit his glove.

Delgado adds, naturally to the punishment, with a Rusty Staub single.

Edgy DC

Well, that's the first pitcher I saw bust Alou inside in a while. Got to tip the cap there.

I've been in NJ all summer, and I'm heading back down to DC in two weeks. So sorry, can't make it this weekend.

Atlanta and Philly, now winning.

Too bad we don't have FSN Pittsburgh: Friday night features Jayson Bay on Pirateography, or whatever it's called.

Rockin' Doc
Aug 14 2007 07:33 PM

Been out having dinner and running errands with the family. What's the score? It's rather hard to tell from reading this thread.

I'm guessing we're winning, but it's still close. Am I right?

bmfc1
Aug 14 2007 07:34 PM

3-3, top 8.

Rockin' Doc
Aug 14 2007 07:35 PM

I was half right. It's still close, but I wish I had been right about the Mets leading.

Valadius
Aug 14 2007 07:35 PM

Let's go Carlos!

Rockin' Doc
Aug 14 2007 07:39 PM

Bases loaded with no outs, we need to blow this game open right here.

Come on Moises.

Rockin' Doc
Aug 14 2007 07:40 PM

Damn, both the Phillies and Braves are leading their respective games by a run.

Rockin' Doc
Aug 14 2007 07:43 PM

Moises delivers.

A 2 run single on the first pitch to him. Keep it going team. It's your turn Lastings.

Johnny Dickshot
Aug 14 2007 07:43 PM

Alou does something good.

If I'm Jim Tracy I punish Chacon by making him wear his hat properly for 5 games straight.

Valadius
Aug 14 2007 07:45 PM

Moises parts the Pirate-infested waters!

That is not what the doctor ordered.

DiFelice grounds into an inning ending DP.

The ugliest man alive is up at bat.

Rockin' Doc
Aug 14 2007 07:53 PM

Damn. This team is trying to drive me crazy.

The Pirates open the bottom of the 8th with back to back singles off Sosa.

Wilson sac bunts the runners to second and third for pinch hitter Xavier Nady.

Valadius
Aug 14 2007 07:57 PM

LASTINGS SNAGS IT!

Rockin' Doc
Aug 14 2007 07:58 PM

Nady gets one run home for the Pirates with a "productive out". Two outs now, but the tying run stands at third.

In the good old days, this is when a manager would call on his closer to get a 4 out save. Unfortunately, the game has changed, so here comes Schoeneweis to face McLouth.

Johnny Dickshot
Aug 14 2007 07:58 PM

It'll look like a strikeout in the boxscore. WTG, Schoey.

Valadius
Aug 14 2007 08:05 PM

Way to go Beltran!!!

Frayed Knot
Aug 14 2007 08:06 PM

By my count, Wagner has 20 "perfect" appearances this year.
That would be outings of at least 1 full inning with no baserunners.

Rockin' Doc
Aug 14 2007 08:09 PM

Make that 21.

Frayed Knot
Aug 14 2007 08:09 PM

Valadius
Aug 14 2007 08:10 PM

Put it in the books!!!

Time for the Happy Recap.

Centerfield
Aug 15 2007 09:03 AM

Nice to get the win but they still played like crap. It's infuriating to leave runners on base, but another thing altogether to leave them on third with less than 2 outs.

We were lucky to get the tying run on Beltran's DP ball, but we got hosed by the call. Not only didn't he catch it, he was off the base if he did. Plus we dodged a bullet there with Wright's shoulder (If that were a drop, Wilson would have been called for obstruction right?) I can't believe Willie doesn't come out to argue some of these calls. Umps are human...they know that if they call the close ones against the Mets, they'll hear nothing from their manager.

Edgy DC
Aug 15 2007 09:07 AM

Willie did argue the double-play drop.

I really felt for Jack Wilson. What an awful season.

Farmer Ted
Aug 15 2007 09:22 AM

I hope he has a bad night Wednesday, too. Teds in section 114. Last time we saw them in PIT they got humiliated in a three-game sweep and ruined my chance to see them clinch the pennant. Yup, it's all about me.
