ARod 1Bs, Matsui 1Bs, Posada Ks - Now Abreu PHing (Yanx started a almost all LH hitting lineup against Bedard) and Orioles go for a LHP Tampa went up 5-0 early against Boston & Matsuzaka Now 6-4 Tampa heading for the 9th

Abreu GOs for the 2nd out ... but the Os keep the lefty Walker in to pitch to Shelly Freekin Duncan because they'll go to Giambi if they bring in a RHP .... and Duncan hits a game-tying HR.

I just picked up the game and figured I'd follow the final outs ... now these fucks are going to win and split the final two games after being shut out for 17-2/3 innings. Chad Bradford got out of the 9th and they're headed for 10. Meanwhile Al Reyes - who blew yesterday's save for TB - is in to try and close this one. - Crisp 1Bs, Lugo 2Bs, (6-5), Pedroia Ks, Youkilis Ks so it's 2 out, tying run on 2nd, Ortiz & Manny due up

Ortiz walked but Manny K'd to end the game. If the Yanx come back with another 3 runs (at least) in the 10th youse guys are responsible for notifying my next of kin cuz I'm ending it all if that happens.

All hail Chad Bradford, savior of the day. Gets the final 4 outs with only an infield single as a smudge. And now that you know the ending, the way it got there is BETTER than it would have been if they had gone down meekly in the 9th. Mariano's recent 3-4 outings have been fugly.

I was thinking aboput killing him just for posting that the MFYs had almost lost in the 9th. I was silently watching that gamecast and praying nobody said a word. Oh well. All's well that ends with Mariano's 3rd consecutive ineffective inning

Mariners lost to the Twinkies in the other (later) Gay Dame of the day. So the Ms stay tied witht he Yanx for the AL WC lead. - Washington up 2-0 early on Philly - Hudson vs Ortiz in Atlanta not yet started
