We need some new blood to take over in my opinion. Let's discuss.

Burnt out,

KC

Do I get to start banning people arbitrarily? I'm in.

Code enforcement and personnel decisions will continue to be done in a collaborative manor by an administrative team.

But if you can get the team behind a banning brigade, go crazy.

Good start sea, let's discuss what the job entails!

Excellent.

Seriously, I would be interested. Even though I still feel like a new guy, I've been around a while (two years?), and I have mod experience, as I'm a mod over at The Bench.

if i were a mod, i'd quietly begin organizing a coup to depose and subsequently ban our reigning king so that i might seize the throne for myself, and then rule the forum with an iron fist, making all who supported my rise to god-like power rue their fateful decision.

earling, it seems, just doesn't sate my endless thirst for power.

Moderating roles:

Willets archives. His life is currently getting turned upside down. It's an easy enough job for somebody with judiciousness and a broad view. He or Yancy can train you pretty easily.

KC deals with the internet service provider. Some experience in such matters will be preferred.

Yancy is a consultant on programming issues. I thank the fates every day he remains on the team and would hope he remains accessible to future administrators until someone is deemed to have similar knowledge of SQL, programming languages, and online databases.

I'm the nanny bitch who deals with culture and rules, and I'm the one who fields it first when folks want more or less adjustments in the culture and rules. I put up more threads than I should to keep conversation going. I worry more than I should, and do less than I should, about the lack of registrations. It's a drag, but the status is amazing, and women absolutely throw themselves at me. Young ones.

If you have the experience and vision for one of these roles, you too could be a Crane Pool Lifeguard.

I'm not looking to abandon providing the CPF, I'm looking to abandon caring
about who posts, what they post, and where it gets posted. I've lost friends
over the goings on here, I've had to patch friendships over the goings on here,
and still there are other friends here who I really don't know where I stand with
them over the goings on here.

Burnt out,

KC

Edge, I've always thought of you more as our beloved camp counselor
than our nanny bitch - for the record.

Actually archiving is a once-a-week thing and is no big commitment for me (and since KC and Yancy have asked me not to archive for the time being, its no commitment at all). Seriously, I have to expend more time and agita trying to keep up with the Schaefer polls. So I'm happy to keep archiving. I just don't want to do anything else.
