North Korea has apparently agreed to dismantle its nuclear program.

Assuming there's no other shoe dropping --- never a particularly safe assumption --- it's apparently quite a diplomatic coup.

They got hit hard by floods this year. Hundreds were killed, hundreds of thousands left homeless, their farmland decimated, and thousands of buildings destroyed. The country's infrastructure is already a disaster and the government may see things destabilizing and are looking at the program as unsustainable.

South Korea, meanwhile, has had the most rapidly expanding economy over the last 30-40 years or so.

I know what you are saying but there has been a famine there for a few years or more...this guy klnows how to play the internationl community.
