Ryan Phillippe plays a young FBI dude assigned by his superiors to help nail N.M.E. Agent Chris Cooper in a "based on a true story" dramathriller.

I'll save you all the time and reveal this was a disappointingly boring movie whose great reviews I'll never understand but to praise the work of Chris Cooper, who has officially become one of those guys they just have to praise.

They wanted us to give a rat's ass about the young agent wannabe they planted to spy on the spy: But I don't think Phillippe was up to playing a guy with something to hide. Like, I didn't care. And they set up all these little mini tense scenes, when we knew how it would end anyway!

More interesting movie might be about how/why the double-agent became a double-agent not how he got caught.
