Valadius Sep 11 2007 04:17 PM |
What's with the zero after Wright's name?
Edgy DC Sep 11 2007 05:04 PM |
A guess: he has zero at-bats in the box score that lineup was ripped from.
Valadius Sep 11 2007 05:17 PM |
Play ball!
Zvon Sep 11 2007 05:19 PM |
HA! Good guess. Still, an ominous omen.
Zvon Sep 11 2007 05:22 PM |
Reyes starts the night with a double to left..
Zvon Sep 11 2007 05:27 PM |
Castillo reaches on error, Reyes goes to third.
Valadius Sep 11 2007 05:29 PM |
Hernandez only needed 10 pitches in the first. Good sign.
Zvon Sep 11 2007 05:31 PM |
Statracker has Reyes out at third, CBSsl has him out at home.
Elster88 Sep 11 2007 05:32 PM |
Someone explain to me why Conine > Green?
Zvon Sep 11 2007 05:40 PM |
Good question Elster. Might be me but whenever I look up it seems Green is being misused. He ends up on the bench when the Mets are playing pitchers he has hit well during his career (don't know if thats the case here, however). Is Green in the doghouse?
Zvon Sep 11 2007 05:42 PM |
Hernandez loads the bases in the 2nd, and none are out . 8-(
Elster88 Sep 11 2007 05:45 PM |
LOL @ McCann
Valadius Sep 11 2007 05:46 PM |
Well Conine hasn't gotten a start since the 7th. I'd give him a start every once in a while with Delgado out.
Zvon Sep 11 2007 05:49 PM |
Whew,...that could have been way worse.
Zvon Sep 11 2007 05:53 PM |
Yea, I guess you have to dust em all off from time to time, but I question the timing. And not the timing of using Conine,..more so the timing of when Green isnt used. Conine lined out to third there. It reads like a well hit ball.

El Dooque!
Valadius Sep 11 2007 06:12 PM |
We don't have a run yet, Z.
Zvon Sep 11 2007 06:15 PM |
Whoops.
Zvon Sep 11 2007 06:21 PM |
Francoeur singles to lead off the 4th, and A.Jones is hit by a pitch.
Valadius Sep 11 2007 06:22 PM |
Ok, now I'm really concerned about Dookay.
Zvon Sep 11 2007 06:24 PM |
yea,..just for this outing though, right. ...............right? *Z starts to get nervous.
Zvon Sep 11 2007 06:26 PM |

Sele comes in,...almost gets out of it.
Valadius Sep 11 2007 06:34 PM |
Sele... *sigh*
Johnny Dickshot Sep 11 2007 06:35 PM |
Still early though.
Valadius Sep 11 2007 06:37 PM |
Calling Mike Piazza... we could use some of that magic right now...
Zvon Sep 11 2007 06:40 PM |
It is early.

A doofus in an orange cap sitting in the front row did a Steve Bartman impression on a foul ball that Wright might have caught.
Johnny Dickshot Sep 11 2007 06:44 PM |
During Kelly Johnson's AB, he pop-fouled one into the front row behind third base, but several fans, including a fat scumbag in an orange hat felt it was their play and got in the way. Johnson later had a 2-run single and scored.
Edgy DC Sep 11 2007 06:44 PM |
How cool is it to have Lo Duca hitting?
Valadius Sep 11 2007 06:49 PM |
CONINE THE BARBARIAN!!!!!
Zvon Sep 11 2007 06:54 PM Edited 1 time(s), most recently on Sep 11 2007 06:55 PM |
I never get sound from YouTube MB vid clips.
Valadius Sep 11 2007 06:55 PM |
So apparently Lo Duca went KABOOM while my page was refreshing. Now Pelfrey comes on to pitch the fifth.
seawolf17 Sep 11 2007 06:55 PM |
I don't know that Wright would have caught that ball.
Zvon Sep 11 2007 06:57 PM |
mahahahaHAHAHAHA! This is true. :)
Valadius Sep 11 2007 06:58 PM |
I want Kevin Mulvey up here now. I don't want to wait another year or so.
Zvon Sep 11 2007 07:02 PM |
Pelfrey may have injured his thumb trying to stop the leak.
Zvon Sep 11 2007 07:04 PM |
Reyes leads off the 5th with his second double of the game :) .
Zvon Sep 11 2007 07:18 PM |
Wright draws a walk--
Edgy DC Sep 11 2007 07:31 PM |
COLLAZO is in. Spelled correctly. Charlie Samuels got the memo.
Zvon Sep 11 2007 07:38 PM |
Third double of the game for Reyes :).
Zvon Sep 11 2007 07:54 PM |
Wright does drive in Reyes with a screaming double (<I imagined it that way).
Zvon Sep 11 2007 07:57 PM Edited 1 time(s), most recently on Sep 11 2007 08:13 PM |
As Im not paying attention, Collazo morphs into the fat lady and allows 3 more Brave runs.

No matter what the score, the topic of Keith Hernandez Eating Ice Cream comes up during every broadcast.
Edgy DC Sep 11 2007 08:05 PM |
Given 15 innings, I'm sure we could catch these guys.
Edgy DC Sep 11 2007 08:07 PM |
So, did they wear adjustable hats in previous years?
Johnny Dickshot Sep 11 2007 08:10 PM |
Oh yeah. Always adjustable.
seawolf17 Sep 11 2007 08:11 PM |
And now Keith is pegging fans with Tootsie Pops.
Edgy DC Sep 11 2007 08:18 PM |
Charlie, would you come into my office? Yeah, go ahead and close the door.
Zvon Sep 11 2007 08:18 PM |
Gah--well, we ain't gonna win em all and who will remember this game in 3 weeks.
Rockin' Doc Sep 11 2007 08:22 PM |
I was initially irritated to find that the Mets were playing the Braves and TBS wasn't airing the game. However, after reading through this thread I guess I should count that as a good thing.
Zvon Sep 11 2007 08:24 PM |
I thought also this game would be on TBS. They used to air like every Brave game on that station....looks like that has changed. da bastages. I would have liked to had seen the fat fan in the felt cap.
Zvon Sep 11 2007 08:32 PM |
And the heart throb Carlyle don't get the win, Moylan does.
Zvon Sep 11 2007 08:34 PM |
HAHA--he's not that fat--I pictured this Jabba The Hut lookin guy.
Johnny Dickshot Sep 11 2007 08:59 PM |
You got to hand it to Cox. He's a ruthless MFer, but if he doesn't make that pitching change when he did, no telling how awesome we'd all be feeling right now.

I seriously considered leaving my seat, bribing the usher whatever the going rate is these days (used to be $5) to get on the field level and sit within earshot of the guy so I could berate him until he left the game for being a the biggest horse's ass I've seen at a game in a long time. I think I can understand Bartman a lot better. He didn't deserve the grief he got but he was still a moron. Oh yeah, I should add that I'm pretty cranky, because losing 13-5, even to pathetic third place teams pisses me off.

I just saw the Beltran/McCann throw out at the plate on ESPN.
But I concur, lol. Looked like he was running underwater.
Benjamin Grimm Sep 12 2007 05:21 AM |
I think the Mets can hang in there without him for at least the remainder of 2007.
