Good Lord, The Orangemen Suck (2007 edition)

Last time I posted this topic, the Syracuse football team turned out to be OK... somehow this year I doubt that's going to happen. From todays Post-Standard: "Its defense is ranked No. 101 in the nation, allowing 453.33 yards per game. It is No. 114 in run defense, allowing 266 yards per game, and No. 108 in scoring defense, allowing 39.3 points per game." Furthermore: "Through three quarters this season the Orange is being outscored 104-16, an average margin of roughly 35-3." The offense is ranked #116 in the nation... out of 119 teams in Division I. And these amazing numbers are being piled up against opponents who had losing records last season. Up next on the schedule the next 4 weeks: #18 Louisville, #5 West Virginia, and #11 Rutgers. Yeah, Miami of Ohio is in there too, and even though I know nothing about them, I don't feel confident SU can beat them... or anybody.

Anybody who watched a Greg Robinson NFL defense knew he was a terrible hire. Start coming up with a list of possible replacements, 'cuz he's gotta go when this year is over.

I agree with CF. Those uniforms are ugly. Lose, hell you should just forfeit showing up in those. Frayed Knot - "Even Duke won a game." Just shows that miracles really do happen. And no, Duke isn't on Syracuse's schedule. Besides, you don't want any part of the Blue Devils now, they're on a hot streak.* *Actually, it's more likely time for Duke to start another losing streak of 15-20 games.

Don't worry, West Virginia and USF are proudly carrying the Big East banner high. Of course, they will square off against one another on Friday night in Tampa.
