Bill Almon? Really?

A thousand posts gets you the utility infielder with one blue eye and one brown eye? I wasn't necessarily expecting Jay Satan, but gee...Bill Almon? That's what my thousandth post got me? And I never have figured out how to post a picture from my Mac. I'm actually a pretty satisfied customer, but what fun is going a thousand posts without a couple of gripes?

Bil Almon is a great guy to get. Great! Number one overall draft choice. He finally starts hitting like one in 1981 and the strike cuts his season short and he's back to being a tweener. A rare Ivy League Met, he not only went to Brown, but he was from Providence, RI. Plus, he, um, had one brown eye (there it is again --- brown!) and one blue eye! Like Bowie! Didja know that?! Oh, you did. Well, then you understand. Being a Met fan is a dessert made all the tastier by the slices of Almons among the Strawberries.
