No e-mail for me, unfortunately.

In what section are your tickets? Are you reasonably close to home plate? If so, those are terrific seats for a playoff game.

If the Mets go into the NLDS without home field advantage, do your tickets convert to Game 3 tickets? (I assume they would.)

The tixx are 1st home game, 2nd home game, etc.

No email for me either, don't they usually email you to say sorry nothing for you?

The email that attgig got was likely a "Second Chance" Offer. These were sent out frequently last year. I believe I bought Division Series Home Game 3 on the something like the 4th "second chance" offer.

The first round of emails everybody gets a "you lucky dog" or "sorry, you suck" (perhaps not with those exact words) email.

Tickets went on sale last Monday and they sold out what they put on sale.

Now, of course, some people's credit cards were probably rejected; some people bought over the ticket limit and had their orders canceled; some additional seats probably became available because whoever had them held (ie. Mets, Major League Baseball, corporate sponsors, etc) didn't need them and they got released for public sale.

All those get put back on sale with the "second chance" offer which the open up to a new set of emails selected via lottery. Sometimes, but not always, you can get some pretty good seats from the second chance offers.

I sat in the Upper Box (the very first row) for 3 of the 6 playoff games last year and was *very* happy with those seats.

Still no e-mails from the Mets for me.

I hope you guys aren't all planning on leaving me alone in the Loser's Lounge with that Dr. Pepper girl.

yeah, I was offered either mezzanine box out in the corner of Left/right field or Upper reserve box pretty much behind home plate.

70 bucks either way. I got the upper reserve box.

Benjamin Grimm

That's the same choice I would have made.

I keep getting:

Unhandled Exception: System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null.

When I try to compile "upper reserve box"

I keep getting

Seriously? Why would we give those seats to you?

Over the winter, the Mets phoned me twice to get me to buy season tickets.

I turned them down both times, and now they're getting even with me.

So there are upper reserve box seats? I thought reserve meant "back 2 rows" of the section. I guess upper reserve box would be the back two rows of the box seats?

There are Upper Box and Upper Reserved.

When you come through the "tunnel" into the sunlight, the Upper Boxes are the ones you'd step down to, and when you have Upper Reserved you turn around and make the steep climb to your seats.

Upper Boxes are the first six rows of the deck -- Box A is the first two rows, Box B the middle two rows...

Upper Reserved are, as mentioned, above that and Rows A-V.

The Mezzanine has 6 rows in the boxes and the reserved is Rows A-P; the Loge has 4 rows in the boxes and the reserved is Rows A-L.

Loge reserved rows K and L and Mezzanine Reserved rows N-O-P are sold at the lowest price because they are obstructed view -- you can't see the scoreboard/diamondvision/high fly balls due to the overhang.

What I find puzzling is that I got Loge Reserved for 55 bucks. I figured those would be a lot more.

Postseason pricing is a little strange. Part of it is that baseball sets price ranges that the teams have the discretion to work between. Part of it makes little sense. There are only 4 postseason price points:

1: Field Club/Inner Loge Boxes
2: Outer Field Box/Outer Loge Box/Mezz Box/Upper Box
3: Loge Reserved
4: Mezz Reserved/Upper Reserved/Back Rows of Loge

For the DS, they are $100, $70, $55 and $45.

For LCS, I think they go up to $150, $115, $90, $80
WS I think is $250, $200, $175, $150.

So there's no discount for back rows of Mezzanine?

Gwreck
Sep 24 2007 02:30 PM

Nope. Same price as the rest of mezzanine.
