Oh. My. God. As a college student I guess I'd feel a little bit differently about this than many of you. Sure, that kid's an idiot. Maybe he was showboating. But we should at least have the freedom to ask questions of people in power that might make them uncomfortable. The only way I think the police should have gotten involved at all is if he took a step towards the stage. Otherwise, what the fuck?

He was exercising the heckler's veto, obnoxiously disregarding the terms of the forum, and using his freedom to interfere with that of others. Tasering him was wimpy thug overkill and he'll get paid well for it. They had every right to escort him from the forum.

Who cares if he's a college student or not? And what do you want John Kerry to do, run off the stage and hit the cops with a flying elbow, Rowdy Roddy Piper style? Did you expect the other kids in the room to just riot? Look at the way the kids in the back row are getting the hell out of there, distancing themselves from this wacko. I don't know what precipitated this clip... there's obviously more that we're missing before this clip starts. I say, he's resisting arrest, so tase him.

that was nice of that kid to give the people at that venue some relief from what must have been an impossibly boring speech. and valadius, getting dragged out and tased is not a big deal. havent you seen those reports on local news stations where the female reporter gets tased to see what it is like? they always giggle afterwards.
