Farmer Ted's in town and we're meeting for lunch.

Talking miserable Mets over lunch with the Tedster.

That's three Poolers in three days I'm meeting at as low a time to meet Poolers as there's been in a while.

I'm starting to see a trend here.....sounds like a fun time though.

Me too.

1) Meet Crane Pooler.

2) Share a mind-bogglingly sucky evening with them.

Nice trend.

Best part of lunch:

EDC: "I have a black hat. Doesn't feel right though. If Tom Seaver didn't wear it, it's not a Mets color."

FT: "Tom Seaver is a fucking asshole."

Presumably.

So is Ted an actual farmer?

He's not really a farmer. He's a freshman.

No Farmer Ted is about my 40-ish age, another white-collar-shnook, presumably taking his name from Anthony Michael Hall's character in 16 Candles. He's called Ted by his friends and "Farmer Ted" by his enemies, but the credits list him as just The Geek.

Edge works 50 feet from a Potbelly's. I'd be a fatter frick if I was that close to heaven. I started as Farmer Ted back in the original ezboard days with the honorable #52 running the (grounded) ship. Swtiched to Bubba Sponge (after Bubba the Love Sponge radio hack) and then to Dr. Sponge when the forum switched servers again. Back to Farmer Ted for the new, improved, better-than-ever cranepoolforum. It must be the admins.

I got to DC just in time for a Mets winning streak. All hail Pelfry dammit.

Wow, I'm jealous.

Miss them terribly since leaving Chicago.

I went to Potbelly when I was in Milwaukee last year. I didn't know they were a national chain.

Not yet. They're in the Minneapolis-Detroit corridor and DC/Maryland/VA. Closest to NY is Philadelphia, apparently.

Well I thought they just had shops in Milwaukee so that's a little more spread out.

There're at least three different Potbelly's within walking distance from my apartment. They're quite big in DC.
