In honor of the Mets magic number being 7 and the fact that Garth Brooks, (or Barf Brooks as fans of traditional country, and even older artists call him due to his bringing pop sensibilities to his concerts (swinging from ropes on stage, prancing around with that wireless headset/mic of his, smashing guitars) and selection of songs that have no real depth or heart the way the classic country songs had, essentially too much entertainment and not enough artist) recently had his 19th Billboard #1 hit which debuted at #1, here is a selection of the one time Spring Training New York Met
Troyal Garth Brooks

His most famous ballad, The Dance

Probably the song he is most known for, its either this or The Dance, Friends In Low Places

A song I really like and used it for a video for a project I did for my high school varsity baseball team's highlight film of the senior class from that year, The River

One if his first hits, If Tomorrow Never Comes

Interesting topic in this song, domestic violence, something that really hasn't been seen in mainstream country since they stopped playing records by Johnny Cash and his contemporaries. The Thunder Rolls

Another favorite of mine, I kind of get choked up thinking about the message of this one. Unanswered Prayers

Ain't Going Down ('Till The Sun Comes Up)

We Shall Be Free, Garth's only real "political" song. Not exactly Man In Black, but again it seems mainstream country in Garth's era and today shies away from controversy and politics unless its patriotic stuff like Beer For My Horses and Courtesy Of The Red White And Blue (the fact that I heard that every time Mike Stanton took the mound at Shea makes me hate it even more)

Another lone attempt at topical and "edgy" as you can get with mainstream country. This song was written for Garth after the Oklahoma City bombings, and probably fits every single big tragedy since, from Columbine, to 9-11 to West Virgina
The Change

And his latest hit, More Than A Memory...Uhh due to another reason there is so much hate for Garth Brooks, this song is not available anywhere, even to download on iTunes. The greedy *#$$()#$*#$&*$)(

Garth Brroks brings back great memories for me,country music is huge in Ireland and I doubt there was a bigger star than him there at the time,I voted for "Friends In Low Places" as it brings me back to my late teen years and his music was everywhere and that song especially.Brooks played some huge concerts there,Crike Park being the biggest venue.

The clip for " the river" is from Croke Park.
