My Laptop is Busted

My laptop's been falling apart for months, with a power cord that won't stay in, a battery that won't hold a charge, and an exterior dented all over. Well this afternoon I come home, trip over the damn power cord, and my laptop slams to the ground. Now the screen is all smashed. Now I have to go to the Apple store in Virginia - but they won't take me today, I have to go tomorrow at 2:40. And knowing Apple, it'll likely be a week before I get my damn computer back. So I'm royally fucked. I'm posting from a computer in the lobby of my apartment building.

When I was a kid, computers weighed 750 pounds.

"And now my kid's got a computer with 100 times the memory, but it weighs 14 ounces. The kid's the one that weights 750 pounds."

"I tell, you folks, the mailman doesn't give me any respect..."

I went to the Apple store today, where they informed me that they won't fix broken screens under the warranty and I'd have to pay $1,300 to get it replaced. So I figured I'd get a new laptop, but they don't have a single 15" Macbook Pro in the DC metro area. Then I asked, "Well, until you get some in, is there any way to hook up my laptop to my TV?" So now, I shit you not, I am using my TV as a freaking monitor.

When I was a kid, my computer was made out of plastic and required no electricity.

My new laptop arrived today. My TV can now go back to where it belongs.
