DocTee
Sep 29 2007 01:43 PM

Eaton hasn't won in, like, forever.

I have Brew Crew/Friars. I'll be listening to the Washington radio broadcast after the Mets game is complete.

Frayed Knot
Sep 29 2007 02:00 PM

Zimmerman doubles in Belliard w/1 out in the 1st

"Why do I have the Cubs/Reds? C'mon, FOX"

Because with no "home" game to affect your area the network goes to the Cubs game as a catch-all.

Edgy DC
Sep 29 2007 02:02 PM

Ryan Zimmerman, American Hero.

DocTee
Sep 29 2007 02:04 PM

Pods/Brewers here in the Bay Area.

A Boy Named Seo
Sep 29 2007 02:15 PM

Fox just switched us over to the Nats/Phillies game from the spring training game in Cincy. Dig this Cubs starting nine:

Theriot SS
Fontenot 2B
Murton LF
Soto C
Pie CF
Cedeno 2B
Blanco 1B
Fuld RF
Rich Hill P

Go Nats.

Edgy DC
Sep 29 2007 02:15 PM

Chico gives up one hit but gets through the phightin' phirst.

metsguyinmichigan
Sep 29 2007 02:21 PM

And Chico raps a hit himself!

metsguyinmichigan
Sep 29 2007 02:25 PM

Freaking Belliard. Could have broken it open.

TransMonk
Sep 29 2007 02:27 PM

Belliard wouldn't have done that against us with the bases loaded.

Frayed Knot
Sep 29 2007 02:27 PM

Wow, there's a rule where Belliard is allowed to NOT get a hit w/RiSP?
I was unaware that was permitted.

Zvon
Sep 29 2007 02:33 PM

Thats one beautiful park they have there.
If you've ever been there, the word "rinky-dink" comes to mind, but still, beautiful.

Zvon
Sep 29 2007 02:42 PM

Wow. Burrell makes that play.
Unbelievable.
That makes me worry when Burrell makes plays like that.
Cause he does something I usually don't say,....have I ever mentioned this, have you heard me ever say this??...He sucks!

Gwreck
Sep 29 2007 02:42 PM

Eaton got pulled in the 3rd inning with 2 men on and 1 out.

Wonder if he comes back on Monday (if necessary).

Nymr83
Sep 29 2007 02:45 PM

short leash. they're taking no chances

Gwreck
Sep 29 2007 02:46 PM

Fucking Ryan Church.

Zvon
Sep 29 2007 02:49 PM

And losing 1-0 Charlie goes to the pen in the third, with two on and one out for Washington.
Wow.

This is one of the things I believe about the Phils, and have believed all season.
On the mound, aside from Hamels, they got nothing.
Or had nothing, cause that new kid Kyle Kendrick has been fantastic for the most part.
All the rest in the rotation can just barely win more than they lose, if that much.

And the Phils pen--it may have been awsum lately, but its due for a shillackin. Cause it sucks

UGH, and as I type this Geary gets the MUCH needed double play.
Wow.
Just wow.

Gwreck
Sep 29 2007 02:53 PM

Rollins picked off. Nice.

Zvon
Sep 29 2007 02:55 PM

ROLLINS GETS PICKED!

Edgy DC
Sep 29 2007 03:05 PM

What's going on that has Philadelphia on their third pitcher in the fourth inning? Why panic now?

Gwreck
Sep 29 2007 03:05 PM

Strange indeed.

Sac Fly gets run #2 home for Washington.

Nymr83
Sep 29 2007 03:06 PM

its 2-0 washington

Gwreck
Sep 29 2007 03:09 PM

1-1 bottom 4 in Milwaukee, Brewers threatening (1st and 2nd, 1 out).

DocTee
Sep 29 2007 03:09 PM

In Milwaukee, Prince Fielder has two--yes, two--stolen bases.

Note to Mets: if we play SD in the post-season, Josh Bard can be run on.

Edgy DC
Sep 29 2007 03:23 PM

Pitcher 4. They're reaching into the starting rotation and sending Lohse out there.

Who do they think they are? The Mets?

Bard can be jogged on. Sub-Piazza, I think.

Zvon
Sep 29 2007 03:49 PM

Even with all Howards strikeouts, I'd take him on my team in a New York minute.

Loshe 6 in a row? He can't keep this up.

Nymr83
Sep 29 2007 03:54 PM

1st and 3rd with 1 out in the 7th and JC Romero, the 5th Phillies pitcher, will come on.

Edgy DC
Sep 29 2007 03:57 PM

Ryan Zimmerman, American Hero, and the New Bob Dylan, up looking to pick up that runner.

TransMonk
Sep 29 2007 03:58 PM

Error on Howard.

3-0 Nats.

Edgy DC
Sep 29 2007 03:58 PM

="TransMonk"]Error on Howard.

3-0 Nats.

That was one of the weirdest errors I've ever seen.
Just cause he was so sure he had the ball and he so didn't.
And he STILL had soooo much time.

YIKES! Ruiz bumbles behind the plate, over throws to second, throw to third can't be caught.

4-0 Nat'ls

TransMonk
Sep 29 2007 04:02 PM

Sweet, another error.

4-0 Nats.

Nymr83
Sep 29 2007 04:02 PM

Sep 29 2007 04:06 PM

Rowand puts em on the board.
Gah.
Man, he laid into that.

I like the idea that Sign Man and the rest of the Shea faithful are still in thier seats watching the Out-of-Town Scoreboard.

This Rauch guy can pitch.
He can bring it.
He won't be rollin over.
He's got what it takes.
>[insert your cliche here]

Nymr83
Sep 29 2007 04:23 PM

Victorino is the tying run at the plate with 2 on and 1 out in the 7th

Zvon
Sep 29 2007 04:26 PM

Whew, Rauch knows how to hustle to cover first too.

Nymr83
Sep 29 2007 04:27 PM

and the Nats have escaped the 7th unscathed.

TransMonk
Sep 29 2007 04:27 PM

Rauch gets out of trouble.

DocTee
Sep 29 2007 04:28 PM

In other news, Craig Biggio will start at Catcher for the first time since 1991 in his farewell to MLB. Kewl.

Gwreck
Sep 29 2007 04:28 PM

Nice play by Fick to knock it down and prevent the double.

OlerudOwned
Sep 29 2007 04:30 PM

I really wanted the Mets to trade for Rauch (rather than Cordero) at the deadline. Dude can toss it.

That IS so kool.

I agree. Kept track cause I've had him on fantasy teams and he gets it done way more than he doesn't. And can go two effortlessly.

Fuck. Nationals lead down to 2.

Zvon
Sep 29 2007 04:44 PM

I tip my hat to Rauch for not pitching around Howard.
Unfortunately, Howard also tips his hat to the home crowd following that homer.

Gwreck
Sep 29 2007 04:50 PM

Tony Gwynn, Jr. just tripled off Hoffman to tie up the Brewers in the bottom of the 9th.

From what I have seen of Nats games this year Manny Acta seems to be a good manager, I have especially liked his pen managment.

Edgy DC
Sep 29 2007 07:39 PM
