Dare I say it....ARod at Shea?

OK, I'll throw it out there. Are we going to be reeling enough to shell out the crazy money ARod wants and move around our foundation players to make room for him?

I fear an overreaction from our front office.

I'd say only if he can pitch middle relief. We have a shortstop.

This is something that I don't want to think about for a few weeks until cooler heads prevail.

Would he still demand a tent?

I don't see it happening.

Say it with me - The Offense Isn't The Problem.

As good as Arod is, he's not worth the $25-30 mil/year he and Boras will be seeking. That type of salary is cost prohibitive and makes it virtually impossible to obtain the starting pitching and bullpen help this team desperately needs to acquire for the future. Not to mention a corner outfielder and second baseman.

Let his salary be some other team's albatross.

If they are going to throw crazy money at a player I hope it's Santana.

Do we really need an excuse for Steve to post more song lyrics?

ARod can play second. We're set at short and third.

you haven't been to other forums tonight evidentally...so far tonight I've seen: Reyes; Milledge; Fernando Martinez; Carlos Beltran; Carlos Delgado; Humber; Pelfrey; Maine; Perez; Gomez getting traded in different scenarios to bring back: Santana; Lance Berkman; Brandon Phillips; Trevor Hoffman; Dontrelle; Harang; Paulino; etc...

It's too comical...each year, I get a little more numb to the Mets underachieving ways...it really hasn't bothered me too much so far...although that might change as soon as I see both Jeter/Rollins in the playoffs when both of their respective teams should have been left in the dust at mid-season...

And, increasingly, there are reasons for that.
