Heroes - Season 2
Centerfield Oct 03 2007 08:50 AM |
I loved season 1. I thought at first it would be just a crappy knock-off of X-Men but the story was compelling, the characters likeable, and lines were blurred between good and bad which made it all very interesting. The finale was a bit disappointing for me, but I was really looking forward to season 2.

Uhura brought the Universal Translator over with her. I don't think they are going the way of Lost - I do believe that they are busy setting things up, and I'm sure that the payoff will come soon.

I too want to figure out what the hell happened with Nathan. Dude should be in Congress now.
|
Iubitul Oct 03 2007 02:57 PM |
I'd like to know what Nathan saw in the mirror - is he really that disfigured?
|
Valadius Oct 03 2007 04:11 PM |
He saw an image of a disfigured Peter. But yeah, I wanna know what that's all about.

I gave up on season 1 to watch 24. It was too late to figure out what the hell was going on in Heroes by the time I realized that 24 was completely ludicrous.
Funniest thing I've heard in a long time. Thank you sir.

It's not a good thing. She has a kinda horrifying power that she hates.

I think they're planning an episode called "Four Months Back" or something that details what happened in the aftermath of the Season 1 finale.

I was hoping, when Claire cut off her toe, that she would grow a new toe and that the toe would grow a new Claire.

wonder what would happen if you put alejandro, the hatian, and peter all in the same room...
|

me too. i'm also hoping, if that doesn't happen, that she at least has the good sense to properly dispose of the old toe. and really... she should bleed more there, no?
|
soupcan Oct 04 2007 08:43 PM |
Yes she should. And if you're peeping in a window and see someone cutting their toe off would you just stand there with an 'Oh Gosh' look on your face? I think I'd be more inclined to...oh I don't know...freak the fuck out maybe?

good episode last night... i finally feel like the show is on track this season.

With those super powers flying around Japan hundreds of years ago, Hiro is going to find out the English guy and the Japanese hottie are his ancestors.

After running for three episodes, I feel like the Mexican brother and sister should be here by now.

We need to find some Kryptonite for Claire's boyfriend.
|
Farmer Ted Oct 09 2007 12:27 PM |
Claire's boyfriend is, what, 10 feet tall? It looks like Lerch standing next to Vern Troyer.
|

i don't think that super-intelligence is on alejandro & maya's list of abilities.
|
Valadius Oct 09 2007 01:03 PM |
The idea of an evil Peter is kind of intriguing, actually. And I love how Sylar is powerless now.

Let us also not search for a deserted alley in which to make such attempt, but rather do so in broad daylight on a main street.

Well, one might assume that having chocolate melt out of your eyeballs would impair judgment somewhat.

Other than a few lines from Claire's boyfriend that made me gag, last night's episode was pretty cool. I like how they're going to go flesh out some of the story regarding Angela Petrelli and the others. Sylar was great in last night's story too. He is just so evil.

Valadius Oct 22 2007 09:40 PM |
Awesome episode tonight. Parkman's dad really is evil.

Climb aboard, folks. It took the train a while to get going but its building up a head of steam.

Farmer Ted Oct 23 2007 08:29 AM |
Kristen Bell took this show up another notch on several levels. The whole Hiro thing is losing me. They need to bring that story line around soon.

i like that ando intuitively knows to read the scrolls, that nobody else in history had the fortune of discovering, in their correct as-written order.

Cool episode. I really liked the Parkman/Petrelli fight scene.
|
Valadius Oct 23 2007 11:10 AM |
I'm willing to bet that Isaac did. And it's plausible, too - for all we know, he had a ton of finished comics sitting in his studio when he died.

I really liked last week's episode. It seems like they finally have things moving now. I can't wait for them to explain how Kensei is still kicking around in the present day.
|
Valadius Nov 08 2007 11:09 AM |
Kensei/Monroe's power is immortality.

Time travel stories inevitably end up with gaping plot holes. Why blink to four months after the Sylar duel anyway? Why not the next day? If Sulu was killed, why not go back to the day he dies and warn him?

You should put that on a bumper sticker. Better yet, lets get CF appointee as director of the FCC when Dems take back the white house.

I seriously wish this wouldn't wrap up in 2 more episodes. It got real good real quick.
|
Valadius Nov 19 2007 10:09 PM |
I'm praying that the studios and the writers can reach an agreement in time to save the season. They resume negotiations next week.
|
seawolf17 Nov 20 2007 07:12 AM |
Just two more episodes for the season, or until spring? I'd assumed they'd come back with a new run this spring, but perhaps not, considering they're doing that weird online spinoff thing.
|
metsmarathon Nov 20 2007 09:27 AM |
very nice trick with the blood there at the end. i was kinda saying to myself, 'hey claire, why not go get your father and try to heal him with your blood, instead of getting carried away and all' but no. happily bob's the cooler head.
|
Centerfield Nov 20 2007 09:35 AM |
Cool episode. I'm pissed it took so long to get going, and just when it gets good, it's going to end.
|
Valadius Nov 20 2007 09:43 AM |
You know, I just realized - Claire is eventually going to become immortal, like Monroe/Kensei. Same exact power, same effect with their blood.
|
seawolf17 Nov 20 2007 11:16 AM |
I thought Elle was just restraining herself b/c Bennet had a gun and would not have hesitated to take her out.

so, um, niki, nathan, dead? not who i expected at all. i was expecting a much more boring maya/elle killoff.
|
Centerfield Dec 05 2007 10:31 AM |
I doubt either of those characters will remain dead unless the actors demand too much money. Overall it was a dud of a season...I'm hoping most of that was a result of the writer's strike.
|
Valadius Dec 05 2007 11:04 AM |
Nathan could possibly come back. Niki's been blown to bits though.
|
seawolf17 Dec 05 2007 12:07 PM |
We didn't actually see either one of them die; so the window's always there. Both would be pretty unbelievable, though, with one blowing up and the other being shot in the chest on national television.
