Nice of the Justice to let Sutherland do his jail time between filming, he had appealed to the Justice for that so people's jobs would not be affected by his stupidity when it comes to drinking and driving.

Well, it's not JUST that. But yes, that's one of the lessons that the show looks to impart: Torture saves lives.
