Bad news: You're standed on a desert island!

Good news: You get to take Nick Lowe with you!

Bad news: You have only 5 choices of songs! (Maybe we have a Rockpile/Dave Edmunds poll later, so no write-ins).

How Lowe can you go??

A) Cruel to be Kind

B) All Men are Liars

C) So it Goes

D) When I write the Book

E) Half a Boy and Half a Man

I dunno why we can't take along "Heart of the City." I went "So It Goes" though "When I Write the Book" is pretty nifty too.

A handful is missing:

"(I Love The Sound Of) Breaking Glass"
"Switch Board Susan"
"Heart"

I think there're versions of "I Knew the Bride" credited to Rockpile, to Edmunds, and two to Lowe.

I'm going to think on it. I love Lowe's sound, but I may love "And So It Goes" the most because it sounds so un-Lowe-ly. It kinda sorta sounds like "Reelin' in the Years II."

Spotty YouTube availability and a desire to have a tidy poll intrerfered. We can always do a Nick Lowe leftover poll.

"Breaking Glass" is one of those songs that sounds like nothing else, trying to get broken sounds out of the piano while the guitar strums a funk/new wave hybrid and the drummer spits out off-rhythm disco

Went with C, "So It Goes", not a half bad song and quite different from the rest, Lowe has a new album out and the public radio station I listen to at work plays the single form it, not bad at all.
