Who should be done

Obviously Tom Seaver, Gil Hodges, Keith Hernandez, Gary Carter, Casey Stengel, the three original broadcasters

Now that it appears Darryl is back in the official fold, maybe they'll be able to do him. Doc, not so sure at this point

Other definates:

Mookie, Dysktra, Kranepool, Cleon, Agee, Koosman...

Definatly no at this time:
Joe Torre, Lee Mazzilli, Bob Ojeda, Yogi Berra, Nolan Ryan...

Possibles:
Dave Kingman, John Stearns, Mike Piazza (depends on if he's back or not) Pedro Martinez, Reyes, Wright and Beltran (hey the Yankees did ones for Derek Jeter and Jorge Posada)

If they have a show like that after they've done all the legendary Mets I hope they would do a David Cone one. Yes, I know icky Yankee germs and all but he might return to work for the Mets in some capacity. Maybe he's a poor choice for an entire show but Cone is my all-time favorite baseball player so I would have no complaints about a show on him.

I think a Cone show would be interesting, actually. He had a neat career: the perfect game, the column fallout in '88, his... um... bullpen shenanigans, the 20-3 season, the comeback with the Mets... there's quite a bit there.

Al Jackson - the class act one those early Met teams. And he has had a long relationship with the club as a coach/ minor league instructor ever since.

Also- I would like to see some recognition for the one great year of Terry Leach. He went from obscurity of the middleman to very effective starter. Then when the regular starters were healthy, he went back to his middleman role with hardly a whimper.

Davey Johnson, Bud Harrelson, Ron Swoboda

On edit: this is what I get when I wait 15 minutes before I hit submit.... ;-)

I can't believe I didn't think of Bobby V. - that's a good one.

Fitting in with a theme, do a twin Metography of Orosco/McDowell.

Ya gotta believe there would be a show about Tug McGraw.

Things maybe shaping up for the anouncers, as reported in the NY Post Friday Dave O'Brien is the leading man for the job, his ESPN contract is up and last year the Mets and ESPN would not allow WGN to talk to him about the Cubs gig, Ted Robinson's contract is up this year and with his tennis gigs the Mets might not want him, also in the mix is Sean McDonough who would not comment because he is said the Post great fiends with both O'Brien and Robinson.

I'd be happy with any of those guys, and very happy with a combination of all three.

Yeah, but will their broadcasting be as astute as Mark Grace's here:
