A Michael Kay report

During yesterday's drive time show in ESPN radio, he dropped a bomb.

He mentoned that while there are hot rumors that MLB is about to announce that another high profile player will be suspended for steriod use, he says there will be TWO announced shortly.

He cites "excellent ESPN sources close to the MLB office" (I say it was Peter Gammons) that there will be two players - one in each league.
Kay says he knows the names, and that "One might be expected and one will surprise you".

Stay tuned for the next exciting chapter.

Anyone else hear this?
Did you believe him?

It's in another thread.

I believe him that there are rumors.

MLB issued a press release the other day denying there was anything huge they were holding onto:

I was out in Ohio a few years ago. There is a pretty good all sports station called "The Big One" in Cincy.
The hosts got into a discussion about baseball broadcasters, and one caller used the term "sycophant" in reference to Kay. I guess they get YES out there, too.
