If things go really well we may read that Mario was once an Expos prospect and Omar just signed him to a multi year deal.

|
mario25 Jan 09 2008 05:49 AM Thank you for the welcome |
Thanks everyone for the kind words and I like the Mario picture someone sent. As far as Fantasy Camp is concerned they do ask you your favorite number ahead of time so there will be a lot of the same numbers running around. I am ecstatic that I get to meet my baseball hero willie montanez who was the Mets 1b when cable tv (wwor9) came to my city. I also am happy that Super Joe Mcewing is gonna be there as well as

I knew him as 'Willie Montan-YES!'
|
Vic Sage Jan 09 2008 10:39 AM |
Willie was one of the more enjoyable aspects of those dark days. He seemed like a great player, but only in comparison to the rest of those Mets teams of the late 70s. But he certainly got style points for his glove work.

Loved how he'd hold guys on constantly tagging them and making them return the base when no pickoff was ever thrown. He had mustard in his veins.

someone cut out Mario batting to use as this guy's avatar
|
mario25 Jan 09 2008 12:19 PM |
The Mario avatar would be awesome!!! I am not the most computer savvy so unfortunately I do not know how to do it....
|
soupcan Jan 09 2008 12:38 PM |
How's this...?
|
mario25 Jan 09 2008 01:04 PM |
Awesome.....Thanks a lot ,Mario

Vic Sage Jan 09 2008 03:12 PM |
one more "awesome" out of you, fella, and things could start to get ugly early.
|
Benjamin Grimm Jan 09 2008 03:25 PM |
Hey Awesome Mario, how did you happen to find us anyway?
|
mario25 Jan 10 2008 06:54 AM |
I was on the internet at work and I was looking at Mets blogs and came across the Cranepool Forum. Unfortunarely I am surrounded by lots of Yankee fans and decided to find some genuine Mets fans to talk to. If I hear another Clemens is innocent by the Yank fans it will bring me back to the Piazza "I thought it was the ball" disaster. I always wished the Mets would have pummeled him relentlessly. Sorry for the tangent!!!

Please, start a thread next time you hear someone pleading Roger's case. I'd enjoy the ratonalizations.
