Fifteen Minutes to Kill?

If you need a quarter-hour or so of audio to help mark time until Opening Day, I invite you to find it with MetsNetRadio at metsnetwork.com, where host John Strubel and I chat about various Mets stuff (most of it nostalgic, a little of it Santana-related). I come in at about the 42:00 mark of the almost-hourlong show. Several worthy guests precede me.

We ran out of time before I could perform "Brother Maddux," unfortunately.

Your sickness provides your voice with extra gravitas. Well-played.

What is that web site all about? It's got a weird mix of old stuff and what appear to be imported interviews with craig swan driving on the "Bell Parkway" I'd never seen before.

I tried to listen but wasn't able to FF to your segment, how does one do that?

I had to wait for the "feed" to be suffiently long enough to ff, so in the leadup heard bits of the other guests.

Bell/Belt has been communicated to the author, who interviewed Craig Swan. He's working from out of town and Swannie, I'm thinking, never drove himself to or by JFK ever again but may have spent time on Bayside's fabulous Bell Boulevard.

I wasn't pointing that out to be critical, just curious as to its origins.

That article, uncredited, suggests the Swan interview was conducted by metsdaily.com, but that link doesn't work anymore. So I was wondering if the site that hosted it is a successor to that site, or acquired such stories in a firesale, or what. Not often a Craig Swan story gets by attention here.

Mets Daily was the author's previous site. The Seaver story also appeared there.

Jeez, you'll interview anybody. What, Jorge Toca isn't returning your calls?

Just kidding. Nice read.

Shoot, I'd bump me for Jorge Toca. But not Jorge Velandia. I have my pride, dammit.

Many thanks to the Bucket.
